Yeah, I didn't get up early this morning. My alarm went off, and I shut it off so fast you'd think it was on fire. Then, I rolled over and went back to sleep. My husband tried to do his part to motivate me, he said: "I know you don't want to hear this, but if you go for your run now, you'll be happy you did it."
Sweet, isn't he?
I didn't even give him a response. I hate it when he tries to motivate me; it makes me want to choke him.
So that means I'll probably do it tonight, or tomorrow night. I don't know if I'll ever grow up and become a morning runner.
For now, I've been sitting here craving pancakes, so I'm thinking of running to the store and picking up some milk and making some pancakes. They sound delicious, don't they? Mmmmm, cakey-cakes.

I'm STILL working on it, totally stinks. Especially after 12pm and the incredible fatigue from getting up at the crack of dawn sets in. Do what works for you!!!
I agree with Marcy that you should run when it is most comfortable for you, however I know the weather doesn't permit much flexibility. Mmmmm. Pancakes. Yummy. Every morning when I go past the Breakers it smells like maple syrup and I want pancakes too.
Early morning runs are hard for me. Early morning meaning that an alarm has to wake me up. I can't say I have ever regretted going on one, but always regret when I don't. I try to remind myself of that.
I lived in Fort Lauderdale up until a year ago... and there is no running within three hours of daylight. Unless you count those crazies who are out at noon (and I'm pretty sure they are not human). I always ended up on a treadmill... because I lived on the beach between Sunrise and Las Olas and then downtown. Not the safest place to be a female on your own after dark. *sigh*
Now I live in the sticks in the panhandle and the only thing I have to worry about are rednecks and deer. (you laugh... but someone in my running group got RUN INTO by a deer on a trail run... I didn't think that was possible)
:)
yes they do! im more of a crepe person myself though!
I agree wtht he rest - run when you feel right. I have TRIED the past week to get up early and run... I get up early, but am in no physical condition to run! SO I go back to bed and run after work.
I need to stop beating myself up over that as well.
Hopefully you will get those pancakes!
crap happens. You'll get'r done!
Maybe you and Ryan should live together. We were biking before 7:30 this morning. We got up at 6 and both said screw it, we will go later. A bit whopping hour later we went.
i was craving a belgian waffle this morning!
Ehhh, it's okay. The run can come tomorrow.
Come on, girlie! Keep working on it and don't give up.
I can't tell you how many times I have laid out my clothes and had the alarm all set just to go back to sleep. As long as you still get it done is all that matters.
Like everyone said, it's not when you run, it's just that you run. And pancakes are good for carbo-loading ;) enjoy!
I agree with running by... I don't regret getting up to do one but do when I don't get up. STILL, it's sooo hard and I haven't done it much lately. Once last wk, and once 2 wks ago - so, I've got a lot of work to do with it.
Yep, run when you feel like it. For me, it's a time thing. With a husband who works out a lot, and a toddler, we have to make certain sacrifices.
