Tech Question

Is anyone tech savvy enough to instruct me on how I can save my archives in my sidebar by year instead of month? Blogger doesn't offer it as an option and all those months over there are kinda piling up and taking up room.

If you upgrade your template through blogger it'll let you organize your archives in a more manageable way.

I need to make the jump, but I'm not gunna lie...I'm a bit nervous of everything getting jacked up.

Jayhawk: Ah, I had a look at that and it seems scary to me. I don't want to lose much of what is here. Eek.

go to your dashboard, then to "settings" of the blog, once there go to template, once there, click the "customize design" button, and click the "update template" button, choose the template you want and then clikc "save template", once saved you'll run into the page elements. There will be a spot for archiving that you can edit options on.

I make no guarantees of it saving any elements of your template before hand(ie. sidebar), so I would suggest saving that to another file.

If you switch to new blogger it's an option. If you make the switch you'll lose the sidebar, but it shouldn't take you more than 10 minutes to put it back. New blogger is really easy. Just make sure you save all the codes and sites to paste back in. If I could manage it, anyone can!

On my blogger I have a page that says "Add and Arrange Page Elements" and then I can adjust the "Blog Archive." Then I can change the format of my archives. Not sure if that helps or not...
