About Me

My Photo
My real life is a lot like THS (True Hollywood Story) except there's no fame, fortune, or drug addiction. Instead, I'm happily married, have two children, and a dog who's prone to barfing at 3 am. I love them all, but I also have to run away from them every day. I always run back, though.

Resolution 5K Race Report

Well, it was one of my slower 5Ks this morning, homies, and I can't pinpoint exacty why. True, the beginning was crowded and the road narrow, but my first mile was my fastest mile. And true, it was a warm morning, but isn't every day warm here in South Florida? No, I don't think there's any particular reason why I was a bit slow out there, and in general, I guess I just didn't push myself very hard (especially in miles 2 and 3). But, it's okay. Slow happens.

Mile 1: 9:15
Mile 2: 9:34
Mile 3: 9:54
Mile .1: 0:54

Total Time: 29:38

If that's your 'slow', then trust me, you don't want to see mine.

Great job. :)

I think that looks about right considering you normally run under your own conditions and not race conditions. Don't beat yourself up, you have a few more races planned where you can push yourself and try for your PB :)

I agree with Lisa... you still are pretty darn fast! Don't be so hard on yourself! Great job on sneakin' in another race in 2007!

It's a great time even if it's slow for you... Plus, you got out and ran a 5K before I even got out of my pjs, so that's good right?!! LOL!

goodness gracious! I know we all have our definition of "slow" and I respect that this one was slow for you and I'm sorry you aren't happy but that looks smokin' to me! :D

Slow? Doesn't look slow to me. But if you say so. We all have our "off" racing days. You'll get back in the groove next race!

Jess that is still sub 30 and any day you can get a sub 30 is a damn fine day indeed...I hope to see mine here in the next 6 weeks!

Thanks for the kudos on my blog this morning. I will have to average 10:30's on the 13th for that 2:15 time in the half, but I think I can do it. That is if the weather cooperates! I dont need Florida weather here on that day!

And you're right...funny that its the half on the 13th, although it is also the FULL, but well...anyhoo GREAT job this morning for you!!
