After a busy day -- story time at Barnes and Noble, a trip to the baby store, and lunch out -- we thought we'd have no trouble getting Norah to take a nap this afternoon. We thought wrong. Twice, I tried laying her down for a nap, but each time I'd go in and check on her, she was just playing in her crib:
(Her eyes are all squinty because of the camera's flash -- I swear I didn't give her a doobie before nap time.) So, after nap attempt #2, I decided to strap her into the Bob and take her for a run. In mile 1, she was still wide awake and playing with her toys, but by the end of mile 2...
...voila! She was down for the count. And, once we got home, she continued snoozin' -- bonus! Plus, the run was an un-planned 3 miler for me, so it added a few extra miles to my week -- double bonus!!

That BOB is really turning out to be worth the cost!
I can't get over how cute she is. Man, you are one lucky lady! She looks so perfectly happy and healthy!
I'm glad you got in a bonus run and a longer nap for Norah once she did fall asleep!
She is just so sweet, my gosh, she looks like Jerry!!
Norah is so adorable...how do you not just eat those cheeks?
Yay for the run!
Miller would do that to. Sometimes babies like their alone time in their cribs. Othertimes....hells no.
The joys of the jogging stroller; getting outside, not having to carry your own water and napping babies! Priceless!
I always crack up when I find Eli that way in his crib, just partying like a rockstar, no nappin' going on!
Nice job getting her to sleep and running too!
Looks like both our girls had big days yesterday.
I'm away from bloggy world for just a litle while and your baby grew so fast!!! She is such a doll!
Ahh, the "nap on the run" is a must in the running mom's arsenal! I love her leg rolls in that stroller picture - so cute!
Love your blog. You have inspired through your running and you have won the Honest Scrap Award!
It is not much but I thought it was exciting.
See and check out my blog!

she's a rebel, like her momma :-)
Hey Jess! quick question...do you keep front wheel fixed on the BOB when you run? if so..how do you deal with curvy roads etc?
I think you've found the solution for what puts Norah to sleep. You'll just need to take her on a quick run every time you want her to nap.
Sure looks like "nap time" is fun! Glad she fell asleep for you on the run.
Ah gotta love the legs akimbo yeah I am asleep so what look!
When I was young, my parents would put me in the back of a car and go for a drive. The hum of the engine would put me to sleep every time! Maybe that is why I get tired 2-3 hours into a road trip for no reason, even if I slept the night before. :) Happy Belated Birthday by the way!
Seriously, I'm not a baby or a kid person, but Norah has the cutest darn little chubby cheeks ever!
