Missing: Mojo

If you find it, please call.

This morning, I ran a 3 miler with Norah in the Bob and it was tough. Mostly because it was hot (the "feels like" temp was about 90), but also I seem to just be in a running rut. On the one hand, I feel like I should be running more and putting in higher mileage (mostly because I have this make-believe 13.1 that I planned for myself in May -- but, I'll be honest, I'm starting to doubt my ability to follow through on that plan). On the other hand, I feel...well...hot. And the heat is melting my willpower. So anything more than 4-5 miles seems like just too much effort.

Anyhoo...that's my complaint right now. On a lighter note, I find this picture of Norah hilarious: She's chewing on a puff, but doesn't she look a bit like this guy?

Running in 90 degrees is ridiculous...I cant even sit outside in that weather! Love the Norah photo.

Norah's "teeth" look hilarious!
I know what you mean! The warmer spring temperatures hinting at summer really wipes me out. I just tell myself that if I persevere, then I'll be a heck of a lot faster when the weather cools down again. ;)
Give it some time. Who knows, maybe your mojo will be back for that half in May. If it doesn't, no worries- there are others. In the meantime, I'll keep my eye out for your missing mojo.

LOL! That photo is hilarious!

I hear you on the heat. I've been so tired this weekend and I contribute some of it to the sun zapping away my energy. Hang in there!

LOL!!! Sweet Norah!!!

As much as I usually hate MN weather, I think I would hate running in florida during the Spring and Summer more. I don't blame you not wanting to run in it.

That photo is so funny!

CUTE!

Hope you find that mojo.

I know that running in that heat would take my mojo right out of me as well. Yuck.

LOVE that picture of Norah!

She does look like him! Cute pic. Heat can make running miserable, as I'm sure you know more than I do. Are you planning any real races? Maybe a few 5K's would get you out of the rut.

Love the Norah as Mater picture! Too awesome!

I'd be running even less than you if I was dealing with that heat, so I'm actually quite impressed.

Running when it's that hot is never easy. It's like trying to move through soup. :o)

That pictures is so funny!

I don't know how you keep it up in that heat and humidity, that would do me in for sure!

Is "Mater" Norah's nickname now?

Two of Miller's favorites wrapped up into one! That picture is funny.

Running in this weather...I can barely muster up enough energy to get from the house to the car or the car to a store. It's too darn hot already and the worst isn't even here yet.

Love the pictures! Well if you are at "feels like" 90 degree temps, then I should only be a few weeks behind you. Thank goodness the pollen is starting to wane. I just had the same experience last week, and after talking to my girlfriend about it, for some reason it helped! I nailed all the workouts for the rest of last week. The funny thing is that she made one comment ("I think I am getting too comfortable with bootcamp, it is not new and exciting anymore...") and it sparked a 45 min conversation about what drives you... you "mojo."

Hope you had a good weekend!

hahaha! I see Norah is going to go through a traumatic childhood ;-)

Hi. Nice to meet you. My motivation would be failing too at 90 degrees.

Your daughter is adorable. My youngest is about the same age.

I hope you will drop by sometime.
