I'm still working on some aspects of upgrading my blog's template. One thing you can probably notice right off the bat is the header -- I'm trying to insert a picture behind the blog title and description, but I can't figure out why I have this big white space to the right. I imagine it requires fiddling with the HTML coding for the margin with the header, but no matter how much I stare at it I can't figure it out.
Any suggestions, smarty-smartersons?
In other news...not much is new. "The Dark Knight" pretty much rocked the hiz-ouse yesterday. As everyone else has already said in their reviews: It really is a film that lives up to its hype; and yes, Heath Ledger really is that good as the Joker. The only thing I can't figure out about the movie is how it secured a PG-13 rating. Granted, there's no nudity or profanity, but the violence is pretty intense (one scene in particular is pretty shocking in its violence) and the Joker would give any young child nightmares. (Plus, it's nearly 3 hours -- way too long for a kid, right? Didn't stop the people who were in the same theater as us. Apparently, they didn't read a single thing about this movie before bringing six kids, all under 10, to sit in the row in front of us. Needless to say -- they were annoying.)
I do plan on actually running today. But not until the sun goes down -- it was approximately a bazillion degrees here today -- so I'll update later with that report. Until then, I expect you homies to fill my comment section with suggestions about that troublesome white spot. Pronto!

nice pic! i guess i would fiddle with the size in adobe and keep trying a wider size until it hits...but i'm a fidiot when it comes to those things
Have you tried re-sizing the picture according to the size of the header? Try this.

Resizing the backround-image will work.
If you like it the size it is, the following trick will work:
In your template, you have the div id="header-inner". Inside that style tag (where you defined background-image) you need to add the following: "margin: auto;" That will make the white space even on both sides. If you want the white space completely gone, you must resize the background image.
I wouldn't resie the background image. That'll just skew the pic and make it ugly. What I would do is set the background color to the same color as the rest of the blog's background. Simple really :-)
I suggest fixing the caption above that ridiculous picture of you and your husband. Instead of "Badass Bowlers: Jess and Jerry 2007", it should read "Lameass Bowlers: Jess and Jerry All Time".
I love to help.
If you dont want to resize the pic, Under fonts and colors, change the Page Header Background color
Love the new header. I don't know what to tell you about resizing it. I guess when I did mine, I just added the pic to the tab that said header and had clicked on the button that said "resize to fit" I believe. I don't know if that helps at all...
We saw the Dark Knight yesterday, too, and I would have to agree it kicked ass. There was a little 4-5 year old boy behind me-he was real fidgety and did not get a lot of what was going on. Did his parents think it was a cartoon movie?
I'm at a loss with your white block. I suck at figuring those things out.
Can't help you with the blog set up...too stupid.
Just heard you can't make the shower...bummer...your fun-loving personality always makes things fun! But I am sure we will see you soon....
Happy running.
You changed after all. I like it. i wish I could help with the layout but my hubby makes my changes for me!
It is looking spiffy around here. Remodeling is suh a pain at times. I have no advice I want to change but say fuggettablut it too much work. My car just hit 1000,000 wish i can reset it when it gor close like site meter.
You all just can;t win at the cinema you get the oldies or the youngins. LOL! Dark Knight was awesom though was it not. I am curious if jerry found it to be "realistic"? hahaha
If it was a bazillion degrees today, what was it on Saturday morning? A double bazillion? A megabazillion? I guess too-f***king hot will have to suffice...
My only thought is to try to figure what the set width of your template is and then expand the picture to that size. I tried to do that with my blog and failed, but only if you maximize the window.
