Another Smooth 3

My 3 miles this evening were smooth and cool --temperature-wise, not attitude-wise, although that too. It's been raining frequently here for the past week and it's helped cool things off some, so tonight when I headed out for my run, it was only 78 + humidity; to be honest, I was a little chilly at first, but I warmed up quickly and the air felt glorious.

A quarter mile from home, I got splashed by a car that went straight through a puddle that soaked me, but as I said, I was only a quarter mile from home, so it was alright. That driver is still a bastard, though.

Again, no IT pain, so that was super duper.

When I got home and had showered, I settled in front of the TV for some "Chuck" and some "hump" time with the foam roller. Have you guys seen that show? It's pretty good: kind of a blend of action and comedy. I've only seen two episodes (that's all there's been so far) and I really like it. Made for a good foam roller/stretching/hip exercises distraction.

Thank god it was only the car splash! I started to panic your knee hurt or you had self doubt setting in. I know this craptastic weather is starting to make me cranky and moody like the MN winters. Battleship gray skies...not good for the mood boosters.

Ahhhhhh you're a true Floridian. 78 and you're chilly?!? LOL

I haven't seen that show. I'll have to check it out. I just started watching Journeyman on NBC. Tonight is supposed to the the second show also.

I hope you at least shook your fist at the driver LOL

Cauldron of Candy, huh? Don't temp me LOL Do you eat out of it at all(before Halloween)? Tell me you do LOL

Hooray for another painless run! But I hope that splasher driver knew he was number one. You know, that "special" number one. ;-)

Yes, soon runs will require an actual warm-up. It's all good for a couple of weeks, until the lifeless cold deathgrip of winter starts it's stranglehold. Oh wait, you are in Florida. Nevermind.

I've had the same thing happen to me with getting splashed, except it was winter slush and I had a few miles left. I got pissed off for a few minutes then started laughing because I thought of how funny it would have looked to someone else!

While proctoring the exam today, some of the other TA's were really mad they had to miss "Chuck," it must be pretty good.

Isn't it weird that suddenly we think 78+humidity is cool and we are chilly...I thought about wearing long sleeves in the wind...

That driver is a bastard - in new york the puddle splashes are the worst because the water is brown and thick...

78* - chilly? Your blood must be thin from living in the FL heat! I *heart* Florida. I do not so much *heart* Florida humidity. ;) YOu are a stronger woman than I, Jess!

Great job on the 3 miler!

Haha 78 degrees isn't exactly what I'd call chilly haha, but I'm glad the temp. was comfortable for you.

I've seen ads for Chuck, but have never sat down to watch it.

I'm chilly at 78 as well. lol. I can't believe you got splashed. I probably would have been mad then started laughing.

Glad your IT band is feeling better!

Good IT news! Sounds like you're doing everything right so hopefully it'll behave in Chicago.
Haven't seen "Chuck" because it's on opposite "How I Met Your Mother," which I love.
Cute Scooter pick below - I'm just catching up from the weekend ...

I agree, Jess! Why isn't EVERYONE not seeing that something big is approaching in my life?

To be fair, a LOT of my patients know about my running problem and have been asking all about this weekend. Monday in the clinic should be fun--limping around with a big smile on my face. I'd wear the medal all day, but I'm always leaning over people and I don't want to be hitting them with my BLING!

I thought people got splashed by cars going through puddles only in the movies..... ;-)

Glad you had a nice run. Chilly at 78? You are such a Florida gal!

I saw Chuck last night for the first time, and was LMAO (man, now I'm talking like Marcy =) at the first 10 minutes so I DVR'd it. Had to put the kids to bed and didn't finish it yet, but looking forward to a new TV show. The only thing I watch now is Mad Men on AMC on Thursday nights, and I'm addicted to that one. The leading man is a womanizing bastard, but I've got a huge crush on him anyway.
