Which is good since I had a doctor appointment today. Everything checked up just fine: I gained another pound, so I'm up to a grand total of 22 lbs so far; blood pressure was good (110/80); and Norah's HR was still strong and steady. The only variation to today's check up is that I had to have a strep test, which means they swabbed my cooter for bacteria. If present, the bacteria is harmless to me, but since a baby will have to pass through that region with her mouth open in a few weeks, they have to be aware of whether or not it's present so they can administer the correct drugs during labor.
And that was the excitement of the morning.
But, thinking of jury duty has had me thinking of Liz Lemon (from "30 Rock" -- one of the funniest shows on TV in my opinion) and her method of getting dismissed from jury duty:
