Thanks for all the input yesterday about my hair dilemma. In the end, I decided to just go with a trim:Turns out, I think it was exactly what I needed: looks pretty much the same, but feels a lot fresher, and there's just a good, clean-kept feeling after trimming those damaged ends off. In the end, I decided that it's a bit easier to deal with when it's longer, and in a few months I may be desiring a much more drastic cut, so I can save the big chop for later if I choose.
Now, aside from complimenting me on my beauty, I have an additional request from you. Remember that short story I had published at the beginning of the month? Sure you do. You read it. You loved it. So now is your chance to return to the magazine and vote for it for "Story of the Month."
Directions:
Go here.
Read it (titled "The Infirmary" -- it's the last one listed) if you haven't already.
Decide that it's fabulous.
Vote for it.
Your reward for such work? My eternal gratitude. That should be motivation enough.

Nice trim.
By the way, I was driving this morning and was listening to iRun: The Running show. I don't know why I was listening to it but it was quite fascinating. It was about a female runner who ran a 5K in 21 min while 7 mos of pregnant. I had thought you might like to listen to it.

I finally read your story this morning, I've had it bookmarked for a long time. It's wonderfully written, and has my vote :)
Voted! I really liked it. PLUS, due to my blog stalking / lurking I already knew the contents of the bio at the bottom - score! I'm going to get better about commenting here.
Girls and their hair crack me up. Of course, at the same time instead of being a "leg guy" I'm a "hair guy". So, what do I know! :)
That is a great story Jess, and I voted! You are a talented writer!
Cute hair! I'm off to vote!
Wow, what an amazing story. I voted for sure. :o)
I voted- I better be thanked when you publish your first book!
The trim was the happy medium. Looks great!
I like the trim too!
Voted for your fabulous story (although it feels weird to call a story fabulous when it's so very sad and touching...but it certainly touched me).
Voted. You'll win for sure (unless one of the other authors also has a blog).
Glad to see the trim won out! :)
And awesome story - enjoyed every second of reading it, only wished it had continued :(

It looks great- you're right, my healthier! I love how my hair feels and lays after I get it cut.
I will definitely vote for your story... I need something to do at work tomorrow.
voted for you...good luck.
Hair looks great! I am desperately in need of a cut too. My bangs are way too long...
P.S. Can't wait to read your story, I must have missed your post from when I was on vacation - I didn't realize we could read it yet. Yeah!
I'm having this surgery called "dequervain's release" it is really weird, it all started from typing up a midterm last january (08) and progressively got worse, now with Nick and lifting him it is no good!
Wow - a little trim is exactly what you needed.
