Anyhoo...this afternoon when Jerry got home from work, we packed up some beach stuff and took Scooter to Hollywood! Hollywood, FL that is. They have a "dog beach" there, where on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings, you pay $5 for access to a section of beach that allows dogs to roam off leash. We had a blast and Scooter loved it. And, of course, I took about 3 dozen pics. Here's a sampling:
Scooter, ears flapping in the ocean breeze: He looks like he's smiling, doesn't he?
Jerry and Scooter running: It's like my own version of "Baywatch"!
Jerry and Scooter playing in the waves: Waves kinda freak Scooter out, and each time he'd muster up the courage to go out and swim, he'd get a wave big enough to splash over him and then he'd be done with that for a bit.

Scooter looking contemplative off into the distance. There's just something about the sea that brings out the thinker in a dog :) Note the slobber encrusted with sand. Yummy.
After we beached it up for awhile, we went to a restaurant where we could sit on the patio with Scooter and we enjoyed a nice, relaxing dinner. It was really a great Friday evening -- the perfect way to kick off the weekend!

I think you're allowed to bring dogs to any beach but really early in the morning no? I thought so because I've seen pawprints

You are so incredibly cute pregnant! I applaud your patience with the "could be now or could be 5 weeks approach." I don't think I would be that patient. (And I know my friend who is almost exactly as far along as you, who is considering castor oil and horse-back riding is definitely not that patient, lol.)
Haha...yes...the sleeping thing is my ONLY saving grace here. I was a huge insomniac before getting pregnant, and I've been sleeping like a champ ever since!
I wonder which one of us is going to have our babies first? I think I'm due one day before you are.
I wish AZ had dog beaches.
In fact, I wish we had a beach period.

I love taking Sadie to dog beach. I did not know that they had them in Hollywood (which I have been there many years ago and loved it!)
