3 Miler Thoughts

Today, we're still enjoying some cooler temps, so I got out for my 3 miler late this afternoon, and it was nice to get it done before dinner. Still, however "cool" it was to start with (somewhere in the low 70s), it didn't take long for me to warm up, and with the sun, the run was still pretty toasty. But, I should be thankful for whatever cooler weather I can get because from now until October, those days will be few and far between.

On a separate note, as I was running today, I was wondering what it feels like in there for Baby Norah while I'm running. Do you think it feels like she's sloshing back and forth? Or, does it feel like gentle rocking? Does she feel the difference at all?

Does she know she's already racking up the mileage since she's along for the ride with me?

Hmmm I hope it is more of a gentle rocking than a sloshing! Ha! How does it feel for YOU? Does it feel funny running now that you have a little baby belly? Does it hurt? A girl ran the 10 mile trail race with me last weekend 7 months preggers and I just wondered. My poor body hurt!

I'll bet little Norah will love rollercoasters!

She's being rocked....

Running endorphins are entering the womb, who knows she may be a future runner.

I can't wait to see that sweet baby face.

I think the comfy part of you keeps her fairly snug until she grows bigger, but what do I know? Dee Dee did all the hard work ;-)

I bet it feels like a smooth car ride...

I have no idea, but I'd bet she's not sloshing back and forth

She is probably pretty happy when you are running. It is something different that she gets to experience that she normally doesn't throughout the day. Or it could make her sick and she could be puking inside your belly during and after the run...

I'm sure Norah is enjoying the ride while you're running. It may be her happy time of the day.

Good questions! I would wonder the same!

She might come out ready to run ;) Hmmmm... that is an interesting question.

I cannot wait for the 70 degree weather to be consistent for a few weeks. I saw snowflakes driving through Atlanta on Tuesday afternoon. Geez

I ran until about 8 months with my last one and I will say that when a baby, he LOVED being in motion--even more so than my older one did, who I didn't run with past about 4 months--and would fall asleep so easily. In fact, he still loves to ride in the stroller on my runs. I always kind of thought it was because I ran so much while preggers with him. I bet little Norah likes it. :-)

I imagine it's like zrobbing for her!

Ahh, that is such a cute thing to think about! I honestly wonder the same thing.

I bet she will never have any sort of motion sickness!

Hmm, I never really thought about that! I'm sure she loves it. :)

Once she gets bigger and you can feel her kicking more, this will be very clear to you. I remember when I was up and active, Jack was quieter, as I rocked him to sleep. But then, when Mommy decided to try to sit down or sleep, he was all, "Why'd the ride stop?" That was when the kicking stepped up.

my understanding is that things are pretty jam packed in there with all the fluids and such. she shouldn't be sloshing around at all. they tend to stay still unless they move themselves around.

I'd vote on sloshing!
