The Wet Season

In the past week, we've gotten enough rain that the canal behind our house has risen about 2 feet. This moisture is much needed, and an additional bonus to the daily rain is that it can make a 90 degree day, like today, transform into an 76 degree evening, which is pleasant for running.

So, after a 4 day hiatus from running, this evening, I got back out there for a short 2 miler. I cut it a little short because it began raining on me, yet again, while I was approaching the one mile point, so I thought it best to turn around in order to avoid getting soaked. Which was wise because it's raining pretty steady now.

That canal is gonna overflow.

I felt like I was in FL this morning. We had a huge rain storm last night/early this morning that left our morning temps in the high 50's. It was great for a run, but the humidity too everything out of me in the end. I seriously thought I was going to have an asthma attack. So weird!

I'm glad you were able to get out there and enjoy the cooler temps. They are hard to come by this time of year!

Thats great news for Florida's drought. We have been seeing a decent amount of rain here in GA too, just about erasing our drought

Good job getting out there for a short run.

We had some rain this afternoon too, which definitely brought the heat and humidity down.

I'm glad you had a good run after a few well-deserved days off. Don't you love being able to crack the windows open after it's been muggy and hot for days? That breeze just makes the whole house smell better. Well, not in AZ, because it just smells like mud when it rains, but in michigan, aaah, I loved it.

Looks like all is well with you. A short run is good. Hopefully the canal will stay within its bounds.

Our complex has a lake...and it's a new lake. Will our property values go up? Or go under...haha

Two miles is better than no miles!

Now I feel completely inadequate. You are quite pregnant and still running in the rain, I am not pregnant and can't make myself get out there when its sprinkling. I need to HTFU!

Sounds like good news for Florida and yay for cooler evenings, even if you get a little wet.
