Hot Hot Heat

Tonight is my first night of my summer class, so knowing that I wouldn't be able to run this evening, I got up a little early this morning in order to fit my run in before it got too hot out. I got up at 6:45 and was out the door for the run at 7:15, and while the morning was certainly cooler, it was still a balmy 80 degrees with thick humidity. I ran my standard 3 miles, and the run felt good, and it definitely is nice to get it done first thing in the morning, but I got back and was simply soaked in sweat. Oh well, I'd best get used to it because it's only May.

Nice attempt at beating the heat! It isn't that warm here yet, but the humidity left behind from the rain is awful today.

LOL! I feel the same way.

It's been much too hot lately in South Florida!

Yeah, this hot and humid weather is no fun to run in. I just hate when sweat messes with my headphones and then I lose my tunes. I can't bear to hear myself panting out there.

Way to go on your morning run :-). I keep saying I'm going to beat the heat and head out that early.... keep saying it all the way to 3 p.m. when no sane person would really be running and I do it anyways out of a feeling of obligation.

Welcome to Texas, right ;-).

Great job chica!

Sounds like Nebraska in August. I can't imagine it being like that in the middle of May!

I was up at 5:30 and out by 5:50 am!!! So glad it's not humid here, like it is there.

But it's such a relief to have workout done!

It is a blessing that I don't live South where you are. Guess what? This morning was SO GLORIOUS!!! It was cool 60 degrees with very little humidity here. It just perfect!

Gah. I despise that kind of heat! It makes me faint just thinking about it. You are tough cookie.

I was in Miami last weekend for a hot minute and I forgot how hard it is to get 6 miles out in the heat. Jesus that was hard!
