3 Mile Success

Last night, I did a test run -- 3 miles -- and it was great! There was no IT pain for that short distance, and getting out there for the run felt amazing. It started to rain in the last mile, but that was fine (it was a cool, fine rain); my feet fell in line with the rythym of the music and I really did feel wonderful about it.

And even though it was just 3 miles, it helped me think positively about Chicago again, which is invaluable at this point.

So that was an excellent way to top of a day where I gave my class a little peep-show, and regarding all of your hopes that I had a cute bra on? Sorry. It was not a pretty one.

It's good to hear you are in good spirits about the race.

My post from last night on my own blog was horrendous. I shouldn't complain about poor students when I apparently couldn't type coherently myself. That my friend, was drunk blogging.

Fantastic! At this point, you just need to remind them of what it is like to run. Happy for ya :-)

glad to hear the run went well and you have positive Chicago vibes again. Good thing the legs remember what they are supposed to do, even when buttons fail.

I am wondering what drives you to run? I just don't get the concept...but good for you! I admire you!
About the popping button...all of us chested people should carry a safety pin...teacher gets an "F".

Wish I had an extra ticket for your hubby too! I was somewhat relieved that my hubby didn't want to make the trip because I think I would wear him out with all the marathon activities. Your hubby is a good sport!

let me just say for all of the men out there that it matters not what undergarment a woman wears when the unexpected public peep show occurs.

it is titillating just the same.

get it? titillating? oh, i got a million of 'em.

Wait -- how did this peep show happen?

OK, I scrolled down and found out. That is hysterical, Jess. Between your poop story and that, I'm not sure which is more embarrassing, but you seem to take it all in stride -- good for you!

Glad the run went so well! I'm hoping to get out there Friday for 5 miles or so.

I've been so busy with work and school, I almost forgot about the taper and running! Whoa!
