Hump Day Rest Day

After 5 days of running in a row, my legs are toast. Yesterday, I foam rollered and did lots of stretching before my 3 miler, but today I think the recipe for their fatigue is simply rest.

It doesn't help that the nature of my job means that I'm standing and walking for the majority of the day, and my little feets are tired. Not to mention the fact that the students make my brain tired. Can it be that today is only Wednesday? Because I'm already pining for the long weekend.

Anyway, I think I'm just hanging out and relaxing tonight. Although, I hope the house elves get to the ironing; otherwise, Jess is wearing something wrinkly tomorrow.

Tell the elves to get their stuff together so you can kick up the legs and watch some tv.
A break after 5 days of running I am sure is totally welcomed and deserved.

I totally thought of you the other day. Shane and I were discussing "Vicky Cristina Barcelona". I metnioned how the narrator was third-person omniscient. He was like Whoa did Jess write that in her blog or something. I said no all me baby!!

I've decided that Wed = rest day also.

Please send the elves this way when they're done with your ironing

I hear ya girlie..tonight is rest day for me too, minus a couple chores here and there.

I envy you your house elves..we just have a couple gremlins.

I'm impressed you did five days in a row. Four is my max before I start getting burned out.

When those elves get done, my house could really use some help...

Can you send those house elves my way when they're done there? :)

Wrinkly is good.

Worst case...that's what dryers are for.

Ah yes, rest days. Doing nothing can be so much fun!

I can't wait for the long weekend either.

Hope you had a nice relaxing evening. We all need those every few days and running 5 days in a row can take a toll on your body.

Great job on the sub-30 3 miler! I'm a proponent of taking a recovery day before it becomes necessary. If you don't drive yourself to the point when you are sick of it, you retain that drive a bit better, I feel.

Hope you're legs are feeling up to the bowling tonight!

I fired the house elves because they kept vacuuming while I was reading. Damn noisy little creatures anyways.

LMFAO with the wine and Bravo mixture! I was doing Bravo without the wine...I am sure it would have made PR just that much better. Did you here that the young dude with guyliner on Millon $ Listing got arrested for stealing art from his clients homes?!

I'm currently in the middle of a self-imposed challenge to run every single day for one year. The criteria is a minimum of 20 minutes running each and every day.

Today was my 88th day in a row. I did 10 miles, my second such distance this week. I'm currently doing 40 miles/week, and will be moving up to 50/week in a fortnight or so.

Before this I didn't run at all. It all started 88 days ago. I've met some great people doing it, too, both on my blog and elsewhere.

Good luck with your own runs! :)
