3 + 3

TS Fay has really been nothing more than a 3 day rainstorm, and we've been lucky here to have nothing more severe than TS storm conditions, which just means lots o' rain and wind. So, last night when I got home from class, I went for a quick 3 miler, and this morning after I slept in (hey, I can't complain about having the day off!), I went for another 3 miler.

Granted, it was windy and very rainy for both runs, but there was no lightning or thunder, and the rain was tolerable. I didn't take the Garmin for either run because the Garmin has trouble picking up and maintaining a satellite signal in such weather and I'm not gonna stand around in the rain waiting for it to pick up a signal, so I don't have times for either run, but both went pretty well, especially considering the inclement weather.

Otherwise, the past day and a half have been nothing short of cozy. It may sound weird, but I actually like this weather. I mean, most of the year's weather here in FL is exactly the same -- warm, sunny, chance of rain -- and sometimes that gets a little dull. I like a stormy day or two. And because Jerry also got the day off work today, it was nice to have a relaxing evening together last night and to chill together today. It is, as Jerry called it, like having "second weekend." So, when a storm is severe enough to cancel work, but not so severe as to cause real anxiety, then it's just perfect! Thanks, Fay!

Sounds like a nice day! I like running in the rain, so your runs sound nice too.

Glad you are having a nice day off without any real trouble from Fay

Believe it or not, I haven't had much rain here in Noo Joisey. We have been getting too many days of sunshine. I am in a *censored* mood to run in a downpour rain. I miss the feeling of being soaked wet while running. Tell Fay to head Northeast!

YAY for FAY. I agree with Ted but send some of that WEST.

Really?!? As much as I love running in the rain, I wish it would be done afterward. It makes me so tired and unproductive. BAH!

Sounds like Fay was just right the Goldilocks of storms! Way to get some runs in there. I totally would have been Bravo watching.

My Mom is mad that my Dad slept all night with the winds by the beach. She said last storm I ride out with you Father. Wehre the hell is she planning on going?!

Does it mean I'm not a "real" runner if I don't like running in the rain?

Fay was pretty minor for us; unfortunately I had to work. Oh well.

Glad you guys fared okay over there. We're really just starting to get the effects of it here in Orlando now, has just been a rainy day so far.

I have to agree about loving the rainy days once in a while! I love it, I get tired of the sun and warmth here everyday, love me a nice day inside every now and then!

Sounds like a good couple of runs. I have never ran in the rain... maybe I need to live a little bit and try it sometime! :)

Oh man, been thinking about ya. Glad it is pleasant and not worrisome. I was totally thinking about the snow day aspect then I read the next post. Clearly I should keep up better. :D

So jealous about your days off...I could use a couple to get caught up with everything...even the rain run sounded nice.

Glad it was just a storm and nothing serious!
