For the First Week Since Chicago...

...I have actually managed to eke out some regular running. Tonight, I ran another 3 miles (making the 3 miler my tried and true distance), and they felt good. Nothing too special about them, but I did do some informal speedwork.

I didn't have Garmy along, but for the last mile and a half I would really push myself during the fast part of the song on the mp3 (Foo Fighters' "The Pretender" and Matchbox 20's "How Far We've Come" work really well for this) and then I'd pull back a little when the song resumed a slower tempo. Like I said, pretty unscientific, but it felt good and I felt pretty fast.

Like a bullet.

matchbox 20. man it's been a long time since i've listened to them. 3 miles is a good distance to make your own. i don't think anyone else has it yet.

i like your race schedule also. busy busy.

Nice choice in music. The Pretender is becoming a new power song for me too.

Jess, if you have even a small grasp of Spanish you would be steps ahead of anyone without any foreign language experience. They say Italian and Spanish are VERY similiar. Our professor (who is Italian) said she has a good friend that is spanish and they each speak their own language to each other and can hold an hour long conversation. interesting! So, I had no prior language courses, not even in high school, but I think I'm doing alright. I'm going to continue the class when she offers it in January. Have a good weekend. :o)

Like a speeding bullet, right? :)
I think I just got the longest word verification ever, 9 letters. Wonder if I will get it right? Nope.

I am coming with you for the Boulder Boulder (not to run) but see LBK. Let's plant the seed in the Mannisto's mind now.

Ah....strike that last comment. Medical reasons will prohibit flying in May. Dammit!

That's great about your run! Nice job! Looks like a jam-packed 08 running schedule but, a variety.
