Black Friday

I don't know what I was thinking going shopping today, especially since everything I wanted to buy was stuff that could have been purchased at any time (no sale items or limited quantity items), yet I went out there. I braved the traffice, the crowds, the lines, the wailing children, the slow-moving elderly, the idiots and the frustration, and I have no idea why.

There must be some instinctual female tendancy that just draws women to the mall, and Target, and Best Buy on Black Friday; because certainly if it had been up to reason, I wouldn't have gone.

At least I got a lot of walking in. And I got a few gifts checked off my list. But now I'm pooped. Utterly exhausted -- both mentally and physically. So, Chinese is ordered, a movie is prepped in the DVD player, and I'm gonna kick back for the rest of the evening.

I snagged my beauty at the Coach store and managed to push a few aimlessly wandering idiots out of my way. Amateurs.

I don't know why we female types insist on going out in such conditions. I usually giggle the entire time...some of the shit you see on this day is absolutely hilarious.

I so slept in this morning and enjoyed the quiet peacefulness of coffee with my sister and mom mid-morning.

Nice job to you and Jerry on the Turkey Trot yesterday!

I avoid shopping like the plague on Black Friday ... though I did get a head start on "Cyber Monday" with some internet purchases. Never had to leave the couch!

I am sorry to say this but I think Black Friday should be banned. Just kidding. I absolutely loathe Black Friday. It is the crowd that gives me the creep. I cannot stand it.

You are braver than me, that's for sure. I steer clear of any store on Black Friday. In fact, we needed milk yesterday, and I ended up buying it from a gas station even! I'm so pathetic. People are rude and far too feisty and I don't do well with crowds...I'm likely to bite someone if I go out on Black Friday. =)

Jon braved Black Friday this year. He spent an 1 1/2 in line waiting for my Christmas gift. Now that's love... or extreme frugalness!

I actually love the crowds. I opted for sleep this year though. Snagged my deals online.

I snagged my Black Friday deals online Thursday afternoon while my wife and mother-in-law sifted through all the ads over several hours only to determine there was no need to go out on Friday.
