Woke up this morning to find myself staring down at a cockroach. It sucks when the first thing you spy on a Monday morning is a cockroach on the floor. He held his ground too and just stared back at me. And he was still staring at me 5 minutes later when I sucked him up in the vacuum -- brave fucker.
For months, we haven't seen a single roach, but in the past few days I bet I have sucked up about 5 or 6 in the vacuum (big ones too). It sure doesn't make me want to empty the vacuum's container.
Hope everyone else woke to far more pleasant visions this morning.

Ugh...that's no way to start your Monday. Damn roaches.
OMG, yuck. I'm so sorry.
Up here in South Cackalacke... we call 'em "Palmetto Bugs"- they are the size of a baseball and they fly!!! ICK!!
you know they are alive in there right?? breeding?
:P
I say blame the weather changes...we had a lot of rain yesterday up here.
You need a Jazzy Kat to play with them then suck them up. She loves to bat them around the floor and torture them before we play clean up.
I agree, weather changes would be my guess for the sudden influx. I have seen more in the house and garage too lately. Ick!
Oh you poor thing... I am so glad to have a break from those suckers. My husband's car was infested with them on Oki... and I'd have to drive it when he'd deploy. Miracle I never crashed when I'd spazz out as one would crawl out an air vent.
Thank you so much for keeping track of us all yesterday!!
Nothing like them Florida bugs.
That sucks, literally! Roaches always creep me out.
Ugh... that's no fun.
We've got a field mouse in our house. It creeps the shit outta me everytime I hear him nosing around my room at night.
Oh great. I flippin' hate bugs. I sure hope your day got better!
Ok, gross. But at first you said you woke up and were staring at one ... I assumed it was on your bed. Sucking it up off the floor is much better than having to fling it off your bed, right?
