Because I missed my scheduled 13 yesterday morning, I figured I should try and get something of length in this evening. I was aiming for 7, but once I was out there, the same lethargy that kept me in bed yesterday morning instead of getting to my long run plagued me again on the run. I just plain felt tired. Plus hot. Plus buggy. Plus, well, blah. No other way to describe it.
So, I did 4 instead. Not so fabulous, but I guess tired happens. The heat? Well, it seems to never stop happening.

Tired happens. Next week will be better!
Nice try, Jess. At least you went out and ran. :D
tired happens. heat exists. the heat is so pervasive and those blah feelings have been cyclical for me all summer. I'd say write off this past weekend and start over...
Eh, it's no biggie. Tired happens. You can put down the four miles you did and go from there.
Mix it up! When I'm really tired, I take 2 minute walk breaks instead of 1 and just hang in there. The heat sucks, no doubt about it, and you are a real trooper for training through it. You'll be one tough cookie by the end of summer, for sure.
It was warmer and muggier than usual. 4 is impressive knowing Satan was sweating.
No biggie -I agree with the others, tired happens. At least you got out there, that counts for something!
See what happens when you don't go bowling? I hope you don't make that mistake again. (plus, I miss the Thursday night entertainment!)
Some is always better than none, from an uninjured normal training perspective. Finding your focus and tapping into that drive will help to turn the some into all. I like the Ty Webb meditation and focus method (Caddyshack).
:-D
Probably a good decision. You'll be better off on your next run because of it!
