3 for Thursday

Got up this morning and ran an easy 3 miler. "Easy" by way of "slow" not as in "not difficult" or "simple"; in fact, I seemed to struggle more in this morning's 3 than I have in awhile. I don't know if it was the fact that I'd done 8 less than 12 hours before (and my legs were a little stiff), if it was b/c it was morning and I was, therefore, half-awake, or if it was because of the heat and humidity (it is slightly cooler in the morning -- but not by much -- however, the humidity is greater). Whatever it was, I took it slow and easy and just focused on getting it done.

I did not take the Garmin along for the ride this morning. Garmin and I are like two people who just started dating: we need a certain amount of space -- otherwise, we could smother one another. Thus, needing some "me" time with the running, I left it at home. So, no splits.

I'm glad I got the run in first thing, so now I can rest assured that I got it done, especially when I wouldn't have had time to get it done any other time today (night class tonight, so I have a busy day ahead of me). And I can rest tomorrow and prepare for Saturday's 13 miler.

Good luck to the bowlers tonight! (My husband's team is hoping to capture the league's first place, so I wish them the best of luck. But also luck to my own team, The Pinderella's -- you ladies will rock, and to the rest of the guys.) I might stop by the alley if I finish class early, but if not, Goooooood luck!

Pinderellas...I love that name!

Good job on the 3 miles in the early AM. I feel the same way about my Garmin. He's a good companion, but we need our alone time, too.

No bowling tonight? Oh no!!! *sob*

I know, deep down, that it feels great to have the run and stuff done so early in the day, blah, blah, blah, but damn do I hate getting up early. Good for you!

Way to go on the early morning run. I think I would be running half asleep, too. Heck, maybe it would improve my times :P

Definitely stop by if you get out of class early.

Good job on the run. The Tuesday nights we walk and then I bike Wednesday feel much the same-slow!

I think you and Garmin have a healthy relationship. He and I do not. I think this probably is because we're "new" in our relationship. I'm obsessed with him, I think about him all the time, I'm always looking at him, etc . . All those crazy feelings you get when your relationship is new. Maybe one day I'll treat him in the same manor as my husband . . . Ehhhh I take him or leave him :P Kidding!

Ugh...the ONLY good thing about running in the morning is getting it over with....at least that's what I think!

Hi Jess - I do that sometimes on short runs too, it's probably a combo of all those things. I know the humidity has been killing me on those early runs too. I just try to focus on good prep for the next time (listen to me, miss poker night idiot!).

Good luck with class. Hope you get out early.

Getting the run over with first thing in the AM is always a good thing, and makes my day feel better.

Love the bowling name too, Pinderellas...
