Thursday's (Mostly) Sober Bowl

I'll be honest, I really didn't drink that much at bowling tonight, so sorry, I think this will be mainly comprehensible prose. True, I had a few beers, and yeah, enjoyed one shot, but on the whole, I was mostly sober...could this correlate with the fact that I did pretty well with my game this evening? Bah. Why open that window to questioning myself?

Anyway, I did indeed go run 3 miles this afternoon after the "mom conversation" (see below to catch up). It was fucking hot. It was about 4:15 pm and 90 degrees (with humidity, somewhere around 99 degrees). Thank god it was only 3 miles -- I think I would have burst into flames otherwise (I figured it was my punishment for failing to get up early and getting it done in the pre-dawn hours).

Afterward, I had a bottle of water (16 oz), a Gatorade (16 oz), another bottle of water (16 oz) and then several beers (at bowling), and I didn't pee until after those beers. Ya think I was a tad dehydrated after that sweaty, punishingly hot run? Yeah, yeah I was. Pee was like the color of the beer.

I suspect that tomorrow I'm gonna feel pretty fabulous since I won't be hungover. This could be a new trend for me.

It's so nice for me to have found this blog of yours, it's so interesting. I sure hope and wish that you take courage enough to pay me a visit in my PALAVROSSAVRVS REX!, and plus get some surprise. My blog is also so cool! Don't think for a minute that my invitation is spam and I'm a spammer. I'm only searching for a public that may like or love what I write.

Feel free off course to comment as you wish and remember: don't take it wrong, don't think that this visitation I make is a matter of more audiences for my own blogg. No. It's a matter of making universal, realy universal, all this question of bloggs, all the essential causes that bring us all together by visiting and loving one another.

You must not feel obliged to come and visit me. An invitation is not an intimation. Also know that if you click on one of my ads I'm promised to earn a couple of cents for that: I would feel happy and rewarded (because I realy need it!!!) if you did click it, but once again you're totaly free to do what ever you want. I, for instance, choose immediatly to click on one of your ads, in case you have them. To do so or not, that's the whole beauty of it all, however, blogocitizens must unite also by clicking-help eachother when we know cybermegacorporations profit from our own selfishness regarding to that simple click.

I think it's to UNITE MANKIND that we became bloggers! Don't see language as an obstacle but as a challenge (though you can use the translater BabelFish at the bottom of my page!) and think for a minute if I and the rest of the world are not expecting something like a broad cumplicity. Remenber that pictures talk also. Open your heart and come along!!!!!

I can't begin to compete with that previous comment. The weatherman actually acknowledged that it is hot outside this morning, that can't be a good sign...

I've always thought bowling performance and sobriety had an inversely proportional relationship, don't mess with a good thing.

Jess, I wasn't feeling it last night either. Although, unlike you, I bowled like a piece of lizard shit baking on the sidewalk. Yep, that bad.

I don't envy you having to deal with the heat in Florida! Nice job getting the run in anyways!!

"Pee was like the color of the beer."

That's not too bad, unless of course you were drinking Guiness. :-)

Though I miss the traditional Thursday entry, I commend you on the run, and ESPECIALLY the very smart rehydration steps: water, electrolyte drink, more water (and then the tasty barley sodas).

I missed you last night :-( But I'm glad that you got your run in and it was sober too hehe

If it makes you feel somewhat better, when you guys are having "nice" weather I'll be knee deep in snow :-/

Yah! for a good bowling night for you. And, even though it was hot out there- you still ran. I did the same thing today - hit snooze this morning, so I punished myself for that and ran at noon in 90+ degrees (3 miles too).

Although, I enjoy your comments after many beers - this way is much safer for you and you probably feel a LOT better in the AM.

Blog spammers are the worst.

Not that you asked, but speaking of interesting pee colors, after the first 20-miler I ever did, my pee was peach-colored. A little worried, I asked a doctor friend about it later, and he said the color was probably the result of the trauma my bladder underwent during the 20-mile run. "It's not something you'll want to do all the time," he added. I will add that subsequent long runs produced no odd-colored pee.

Glad you got that run in! I had to stop yesterday and make sure it was Thursday.:>)
