Monday

I'm feeling much improved today and yesterday turned out to be, essentially, a wasted day. I spent most of it lying in bed watching tv and reading. The headache was never entirely tamed, and even when I went to bed, I still didn't feel 100%.

You'd think I'd learn, especially since I'm not new at being hungover, but once the beer hits the lips; it's just so good. I can't stop -- but I could be helped by sneaking in some water between drinks so that I don't dehydrate (I think that was why I had that stupendous headache yesterday).

Anyhoo, I hope to get a run in this evening since I've slacked off the past couple of days; I have to be somewhat prepared for Wednesday's 5K.

Discovered your blog on the comments on Miss Petite America. I can totally relate to your pention for the "walrus killer" headaches from having a bit too much alcohol. It took me years to realize that if I drank two waters for every beer/drink I would feel much better.

I've tried running to cure a hangover and had some decent results. I think the best thing to do is schedule so many races that you can't take the time to go out and party. I think my neighbors are about to give up on me. The miss the party animal I used to be. I'm still capable but choose to party with some good carbos after a nice long run/race.

my new rule is two glasses of water for each beer. (That is...when I remember). I can sympathize with ya.

Everything in moderation...even moderation.

Right?

Water in between beers definitely helps. And hydrate a few hours before you party. Oh, and Gatorade helps afterward. So does Chinese food. But not together.

You drink Bud Light which is 90% water so I don't see the need for you to rehydrate inbetween beers ;) Just kidding!

Yes, H20 is the key. I know I have a hard time alternating drinks but I am getting better.
