It's been cool and rainy here the past few days (as was observed during the Super Bowl -- it was not sun-shiny), which is nice because it allows me to run at times of the day when it's normally too warm. So yesterday I was able to fit my 3 miles in the mid-morning instead of waiting until after work in the evening. The weather was nice and cool, perfect for a run, but again my right knee bothered me.
At this point, I'm getting a little nervous about the half coming up in two weeks: I haven't run any true long runs in preparation and my knee is concerning me. Ack.
In other news, I officially quit the gym. I haven't used it since posting about my dilemma over whether or not to keep my membership, so I decided to cancel my membership and keep my $35 a month all to myself. So, it's official; I am now "sans gym."

How bad does your knee hurt? Is it excruciating to the point where you want to cry and not run or does it just bother the crap out of you and you worry it is getting worse?
The half marathon will be a breeze-just massage and stretch the crap out of your knee and take a ton of advil before hand. Then go to the dr. afterwards because more than likely you will have to see a regular doctor before they send you to a sports specialist. The guy that looked at my hip is awesome. I can refer you if you want to check him out.
what are you going to do with your new found riches? buy stock in smarties?
can't help you with any knee issues as all my issues are foot related...but hope you can get them straightened ou
Good choice on ditching the gym! I hope the knee gets better soon...
Take that 35 bucks and re-invest in shoes!! That's my answer to everything. Sad? Buy shoes to cheer you up! Happy? Buy shoes to celebrate! Hungry? Buy shoes... to starve in....
PS - Hope that knee gets better really soon!
Save that money for a Brazilian!!! :-)
Ice that knee and get it checked out. I hope that it is not so serious.
