They survived.
And so did my running streak. It just meant I had two days of treadmill servitude; life could be worse. And, as it turned out, the treadmill runs went well, a smidge-speedy even:
Jerry got home last night, just in time to get Norah wound up right before bed.
A special feature of his conference was that he got to enjoy an evening at Universal Studios, which was closed except for conference-goers -- huh, doesn't sound too much like "work" to me! -- and he got to preview Harry Potter World for the first time. Admittedly, I was jealous to hear his report about how awesome it was.
At least he brought me these:
I wasn't brave enough to try a weird flavor, but Norah was. She's like, "Jelly bean? Hit me!"
So, among the gross ones she was willing to eat: dirt, soap, and salt & pepper.
I stuck with cherry.

I am guessing Norah takes after her dad!
We brought some of those home to the kids after a weekend getaway for WDW marathon. My 7 year old daughter took a bite of one, ran to the bathroom and was spitting in the sink for a good five minutes...as the rest of us laughed. I think it was actually "vomit" flavored. :)
my kids get away with anything while on my watch. it's absurd. Yet, they still fear me which is nice.
Don't all moms let the kids get away with a little more when daddy is away?! We wantthe kids to think he is the mean one. ;-)
dirt? soap? salt&pepper? JELLY BEANS?!?
Yeah, I think I'd stick to Cherry too.
If we are confessing....when I had my third kid I taped (back in the 90's it was VHS) 2 1/2 hours of Barney to keep my 2 year old busy in long increments. He turned out ok.
