Good, Not Great

Have you ever run on a cruise ship? The feeling is disconcerting because the ship is swaying slightly and it's kinda hard to remain balanced while you're running. That was pretty much how I felt when I ran today.

I still have some lingering vertigo, but it is by no means as bad as it was a day or two ago. I still feel like I'm swaying, but it just isn't severe enough to make me feel nauseous. So, I figured that was good enough for me to return to running, and I did a 3 miler (29:04) earlier this evening. It felt good to run even if it felt like the earth was tilting back and forth beneath me.

Otherwise, my day off has been pretty busy: I cleaned the house like it hasn't been cleaned in about 6 months, and now every bit of it is spic and span. I also got out the Halloween decorations, painted my toenails, and packed for our weekend in Orlando. So, now I'm gonna sit back with some Smarties (yes, Jerry bought Halloween candy about 2 weeks ago, and I can't keep my mitts off the Smarties -- each one is a little tab of sugary heaven!) and wait for The Office to come on.

I wish every Thursday were Yom Kippur -- I could use a day like this every week to catch up on shiz.

This is the longest you have felt off kilter (non-alcohol induced of course). I hope you get better soon!

Hope you feel better! Good luck with the race this weekend too! I agree that the $50 isn't a bad price for that race, I mean it is a great race, just running through the empty parks is worth that money! I just didn't want to spend that money on any race right now. Have fun!

Hope the dizziness subsides soon.

Wow craaazy. I've been feeling dizzy since last week. I was on a plane a week ago, so it's possible I have the same thing... But I am choosing instead to believe that the earth has been knocked off its axis.

Hope this ends for you soon!

My kids love smarties too and we end up fighting over them. I can't buy the halloween candy until the day before or there won't be any left for the trick or treaters (all 10 that we get).

Hope you get better soon.

I hope it isnt too bad on the cruise ship. We are going on a cruise in December and I will be about a month into marathon training.

I hope you feel 100% better soon. I had a moment of vertigo tonight at hot yoga. I almost fell flat on my face!

I cannot believe you went out for your run while you were experiencing vertigo. I have number of friends who had vertigo. I do not wish upon anyone to have that experience. The equilibrium is out of whack ! I hope this will go away quickly. Get plenty of R&R with Mickey Mouse this weekend.

Ahhhhh, I am envious of your day off. Sounds like it was productive!

Glad to hear you're feeling a little better and survived a run.

Have a great trip!

Blah, I would be bothered to no end if I was in your condition. Have you gone to a doctor? Have I missed that part?
