This has to be a quick post because Jerry and I have to skedaddle to get to the Dolphin game today (well, we're really more in a hurry to get to the tailgating part, but you know).
So, this morning's 10 miler with Wendy can probably best be described as tiring. I didn't sleep well last night (kept waking up), and while it was cooler temperature-wise this morning, the humidity was unbelievable, and it took its toll on us both: We looked as though we'd run in the rain we were so drenched in sweat afterwards; I mean, when your hair is completely saturated and you feel as though you just came out of the shower, and when you lean over to remove your shoes and the sweat just rolls off you -- yeah, you know you're sweaty then. Anyway, the combined factors (but I especially blame the humidity) made for a rather slow time of 1:51:18. Although, considering that accounts for two bathroom breaks and some walk breaks, it really isn't terrible.
All that sweating made for some chafing, which I didn't discover until the stings of the shower revealed them when I got home. Lovely.
Anyway, I'm off to the football game. There's a 50% chance of rain, so cross your fingers we remain dry. Overcast skies, I would like, rain I would not.
