Farenheit 65: The Temp at which Jess Burns through a Run

The cool, pleasant weather continues here in South Florida with temps only reaching the low 70s as a high, and this evening when I ran it was only 65 degrees with 37% humidity. I don't know if words can describe how glorious it felt.

I ran 5 miles in 46:49 (Garmin found its signal right away this evening) with an average pace of 9:22/mile.

I wish temps like this would linger all winter long, but the forecast says it will warm back into the 80s on Friday and the humidity is forecast to return to its normal, suffocating density by the weekend. So, tomorrow I hope to get one more good run in before the warmth returns. I have to take advantage of and enjoy these spells when I can.

Wow. And we have temps in the 30s. I don't exactly envy you. Not a fan of the heat. But soon it will be winter, right? Hang in there.

That's so funny. I used "glorious" to describe my run tonight. Cuz that's exactly what it was. GLORIOUS

I wish it was that nice here!

lol, seems like at last I found someone that lives on a town with a similar weather like the one I live in!!

I guess it is worst to run on very hot weather than on cold weather. Over here, we have reached over 43 degrees celsius (107 fahrenheit).

I do not know who thought of making a city over here!!!

Wow that sounds glorius. When I was at the Niagara expo, there was a rep from the Tampa marathon in January. He said the average temp is 50F at the start 6:30am. Was he lying? If not, I may be in for a winter break!

Running in these temps is glorious for sure! I am thinking about heading out for a run after I drop the little one at school this morning, before the warmer temps come back. Looks like it'll be right around 50 at 9am when I could run, so I'm thinking it over, as it's a few degrees below my "perfect" running temperature. It's just so nice to run outside and not feel that wall of heat though! If only the weather here could be this good for most of the year..

That's the problem with Miami (and Houston). October teases you too much with the nice temps and just when you least expect it - BAM - mid 80's

Awesome job on the run. You really rocked it. Hope you get a nice run in today too.

Nice, we're still stuck in the 80's. Great decade, great for the beach , no good for running

Thanks for rubbing it in. We have had lows in the 30's in the past week or so and our local running store is holding a seminar on running in extreme cold temps this weekend.

way to rock the run.
We had snow yesterday. I'd give anything for 80 degree weather

I would kill for those temps here in MI. Really, I would.

That is perfect running weather! That is what it is here today. It is not often that FL and MN are the same.

That sounds simply fantastic. As the thermo-crash continues in MI... I'm instantly jealous!

That sounds dee-light-full. Enjoy it while you can, before it ... wait a minute ... before it heats up? Jeez! Don't catch a chill!

Woo-hoo! Glad you are getting some runs on that aren't in that miserable humidity.
