Yesterday morning, I felt good, so I went for a run with Norah in the BOB. I hadn't run in over a week, so I expected it to be pure awful, but it actually turned out to be pure awesome. Don't throw rocks at me for saying this: But we're enjoying some perfect running weather right now, and yesterday morning was no exception. Temps were in the mid-50s and the air just had that crisp, clean feel that makes running so enjoyable.
So, in short, I started the day feeling totally tubular. And I felt fine throughout the day too. But then, somewhere around 4:30 or 5 pm, I began to feel "icky." I'd eaten some leftover risotto I'd brought with me to school and a shitload of Valentine's Day candy. I blame the candy.
I thought that by getting out of my office and getting some fresh air, I'd feel better, so I went for a short walk around campus. It was nice to get outside, but I was still feeling nauseous. So, I closed the blinds in my office and tried laying down. Still nauseous. When I sat up, I knew what was next: Here comes the barf!
I hurried down the hall to the restroom and heaved a lot of pink puke: Damn all those Starburst and Sweethearts!
After puking, I felt better, and I was fine during my night class -- I may have had lingering barf-breath -- and while I didn't feel stellar, I felt good enough. So, I blame the candy because I don't know what else to blame except that apparently, during pregnancy, my stomach is like a very careful chemistry experiment and any slight upset in content or quantity and I lose my business.
Today, I feel fine. But I think I may have ruined pink and red Starbursts for forever. And that is a damn tragedy.

Pink Starburst are the worst. Yuck. Hey, maybe your puke was pink, which would sorta be, kinda, festive...
Oh no not the pink and red!!!! Those are my favorites!!! Lucky you to have such great weather! Don't feel bad cause you pay your price in the summer when it is hotter than the sun there and nice and 70 here!
Pink Starbursts are the best! But I guess not anymore, for you. Sometimes I can get over food that has made me sick, and sometimes not.
Glad you're feeling better. I am, too. I didn't get to eat much yesterday because of my lack of appetite but still had a nice V-day nonetheless.
I think we're having similar weather today, and I can't wait to run later today!
I blame it on the weather, who can run in those conditions. I ran out of rocks! HA........... feel better.
Pink puke does not sound fun at all. Hopefully you'll still be able to stomach other-colored candies!
Enjoy those temps... sounds heavenly!
The pinks starburst are the best! UGH. What a tragedy to ruin those. You are one puke festival lately....sorry to hear that!
Don't blame pregnancy when you eat a truck load of candy. That would make anyone sick. :) Maybe now you will switch to the yellow ones and leave the red, pink and orange for me.
Thats a real shame ruining the best ones! You must eat your least favourite candy from now on, just in case you keep performing the same way.
Hope the sickness goes away soon!
Loss of the red Starbursts would be heartbreaking.
Sorry about your pink puke. Look on the bright side. Pink is prettier than brown, right? You could have eaten a bunch of chocolate.
hahahaa
Sometimes when I puke those little message hearts, I look to see if they spelled anything the second time too.
Dman that valentine's day candy! I only had a little bit this year so I feel pretty good about it. At least you were able to make it down the hallway to the bathroom. I got sick because of food poisoning a couple weeks ago and I could not make it to the bathroom so it was into my cubicle trashcan in cubeland. Kinda made a scene. But at least I got to go home and study for my Advanced Accounting final!!! Hope you are feeling better :)
Repeat after me, it was the risotto, it was the risotto, it was the risotto.
I hope you didn't ruin Starbursts for yourself - I know how giddy you get over them at Halloween time. :)
