So, no, I didn't race this weekend. Haven't run at all this weekend.
Instead, yesterday, we went to Butterfly World, which is kinda like a zoo with just butterflies and birds. We have a membership there, so we go pretty frequently, and Norah loves it. Afterward, we played at the park for awhile. There's a pretty rad playground right next to Butterfly World and Norah had a good time.
This morning, while Jerry ran to the store for 10 minutes, I decided to attempt to give her a pedicure. It did not go well. I didn't anticipate that while I'd be painting, she'd grab the bottle of fingernail polish and begin painting her legs with it. The result?
One foot of painted toes, which pretty much instantly got the paint rubbed off -- so, essentially, one foot of painted cuticles. And, yes, on her left foot you'll note the fading print of a tattoo. Norah is cookoo for the wash-off tattoos. So, yesterday, Jerry gave her a "sleeve."
It's been a busy weekend. And we still have our accountant to meet with to file our tax return and a Super Bowl party to attend, which means that currently, Norah is "helping" her dad to make some Little Smokies for the party. Which, for her, simply means taking them all out of the package.
So, what I keep hearing from Jerry in the kitchen is, "No, wait. Stop. Not yet. Can we put that back?"

Hooray! Laziness :) Buterfly zoo is so much better anyways. We had a bat get into our butterfly park at Callaway gardens in GA. Not good things. Little pedicures! Looks like you all had a pretty awesome weekend.
I think I've mentioned this before, but I am pretty sure you live right near my grandmother. I have definitely seen the signs for butterfly world when I've been down there. I'm actually going to visit her in the end of March. Maybe we can get coffee or something.
Your daughters "sleeve" is so cute! lol.
Love the tattoo sleeve! Too cute!
Coolest sleeve I've ever seen - hands down. :)
LOL...that's lazy? Sounds like a pretty busy day to me...besides that, you're busy making a new person!
LOVE the sleeve! Starting her early. What age will you be saying no to ensure she doesn't get an actual sleeve?!! :)
That doesn't sound like a lazy weekend to me. That sounds like a wonderful busy family weekend. We have those once a month, and if there is running involved it doesn't happen until our little lady goes to bed.
Sounds like it was the best decision ;) You would have missed out on a ton!
Love Norah's sleeve, maybe Jerry can hook me up?
Have a great week!
I'm glad to hear the laziness won out! Sometimes a girl just needs her sleep!!! That tattoo sleeve is just the coolest!!! SOOOO funny and cute about how she is helping in the kitchen!!!
I did the same thing! I was working at a race on Sunday, so I decided to ditch my Saturday run so I could at least sleep in ONE day this week...
ha I would not call it laziness! love the tatoos though!
Don't blame you for enjoying the sleep! Looks like it turned out to be a pretty awesome weekend anyway!!!
LOL... hope you had a good weekend!
What the heck is all that green stuff on the ground? If my neighborhood looked like that right now it might be a little easier to get my miles in :)
LOL - I love the sleeve. :)
RE: Lions..... Yeah, but they all have the same "parts" as us - what gives!? Science is annoying. I would have made a horrible biologist.
The butterflies look so beautiful and peaceful. It looks like the little one enjoyed herself.
Super cute pics! Love the pedicure and sleeve.
P.S. Norah will be ready for the pedicure soon. Rylee loves them - it's how we pass the time while she's sitting on the potty sometimes. :)
