Yes, I said "walk" not "run." I haven't totally given in on running yet, but we're growing distant: Let's just say I'm not ready to sign the divorce papers, but for the time being, we're separated, and I'm not too upset about that.
Other preggo tidbits at this point:
- I feel like I'm ginormous right now, but in reviewing my preggo pics from my 1st pregnancy, I see that, really, I'm about the same -- and I honestly don't see a difference in how I'm carrying (boy vs. girl).
- I have no clue what I weigh right now. I'm not the sort who religiously weighs herself anyway, and during pregnancy I just let the doctor's scale tell me how much I've gained. I actually kinda, sorta thought of weighing myself this morning, but then, you know, Norah found herself perched precariously atop something and Scooter started barfing*, so I had my hands full.
- He's a movin-machine right now; I assume he's doing somersaults and cartwheels in there based on the variety of movement.
- Despite my growing bulk, I find this to be the best time during pregnancy: No more barfing on a regular basis and my other complaints (headaches, heartburn) are minimal. Plus, I know that while I feel big now, it's nuthin' compared to how huge I'll feel in a few more weeks.
- My belly itches. I remember this from pregnancy #1, but man, itchy skin!
I have my next dr. check-up next week and then I think I begin going every 2 weeks. Plus, I have that nasty glucose test coming up soon. Blech. I could do without that one!
*Scooter didn't actually start puking, but he DID barf all over our comforter on Tuesday. Seriously, the gull of that dog -- he has me schlepping that comforter to the dry cleaners every few months, forking over my hard-earned money, and he still has the audacity to sneak into nearly every picture I take!

I can't imagine running while pregnant. Heck, with my broken toe I'm not running while not pregnant. LOL!
If you can find some unrefined shea butter or a shea butter/cocoa butter combo (and I'm talking abotu the real stuff, not the commercial lotions that have 0.01% in them), and rub that on your stomach, that might help with the itchies. :)
you look great!!glad you had a good walk.
You look great and good to hear that you are feeling a lot better these days. I hope the "trial separation" goes well. :)
Walks are equally as valid as runs. And weighing? Who needs that, right? I'm sure your doc will let you know if you're on the right track. =) You look just fine to me!
Don't worry about separating from running. He'll take you right back when you are ready.
You look great. You say you are feeling great. Who needs a scale?!
You look adorable. I LOVE it!! And running will always be there in a few months, so there's no need for dvorce =)
Man, the itchy skin was the WORST! I hear ya!
Glad you had a nice walk ;)
Wow, look at the size of that dog! I can't run pregnant either.......
Looks like you're doing great. I'm sooooooo glad I was on the dad side of two pregnancies!
walking, running..you're getting exercise and listening to your body--way to go! and you look great!
my experience with the glucose test wasn't bad at all--they had a new formula that was clear and didn't taste bad at all! i was prepared for the worst but was pleasantly surprised.
and scooter is a riot!
You wear the exact OPPOSITE of what I wear for my walks right now!
And you're just a few weeks behind me (I'm 29 weeks 6 days) but I can hardly believe that I have to get even bigger than I am right now - how is this NOT big enough?!
Happy walking! Love your blog!
You look wonderful. Lotion will help with the itchy skin. Aveno has a great lotion that I use for my excessive dry hands during the coldness of winter.
Good luck with the glucose tolerance test. I didn't think it was too bad, just chug it. But you know that you've been through this before. Have a good appt next week!
You look cute. I secretly want to have a baby soon, but I've only been married for 8 months so I keep telling myself that I should wait.
You look great!!! :>)
You look great! Over halfway there . . . I thought the 18 weeks - 30 weeks was the best time of pregnancy. I loved feeling the baby move all the time, but wasn't completely miserable (yet).
ewe... I cringe at Dog & Cat puke I just get so frustrated with it!
You look great and I was going to say the same as when you posted pics of you preggo with Norah, I guess it's all an old wives tale the whole girl vs. boy carrying different thing!
Oh yeah don't be suprised to hear at the docs you haven't gained as much as you feel that keeps happening to me, you just show more the 2nd go around, body knows what to do already I guess.
I love the belly pics. I didn't even realize that you were so far along. I feel like it was just the other day you said you were pregnant - but times does fly. Seeing your belly makes me want another one!
