Tuesday Tidbits

Tidbit Numero Uno: This morning, I did an early morning 3 miler, and it was perfect outside: about 60 degrees, low humidity, light breeze. Lovely. At the end of the run, I was wishing I had more time so I could go longer, but on these early mornings, I prefer to be back before Norah gets up and before Jerry gets up and gets ready to leave for work, so I had to just keep to a 3 miler.

Tidbit Numero Dos: I am woefully behind on blogs. So far behind I have no clue where to start in all the posts I've missed. I've just been incredibly busy in the past week or so, and I haven't had much time to keep up with everyone on the blogosphere. So, excuse my absence. Hopefully, tonight I can play catch up.

Tidbit Numero Tres: Did you hear the rumor that in Megan Fox's Moto ad from the Super Bowl (that I mentioned), she used a "thumb model"? Apparently, the actress has especially wide, unsightly thumbs ("toe thumbs" they're being dubbed) so it's been circulating on the web that the ad used a hand model for the close up shots of her thumb on the phone. Scandalous!

**Edit: Oh, and I almost forgot: Go check out my guest blog post at the other Jess' blog! I say insightful things. Of course.

I'm jealous of your weather! I am incredibly far behind on my blog reading as well!

It's hard to keep up on blog reading and comments. I haven't been doing it that long but hate to miss stuff by skipping. Is that what you just have to do?

I'm only caught up because I'm snowed in...

I agree with your post about that half vs. full marathons. Which of course, begs the question "Why am I doing another full marathon?"

I have gotten terribly behind at reading others posts after a few days and have a hard time figuring out where to start! LOL

loved your guest post by the way!

Enjoy the weather. I am so looking forward to Vegas and Maui in 32 days.

Sometimes it's better just to start fresh rather than try to catch up (on blog reading).

Why is it that the really great runs come when we're pressed for time?

Great run! And nice weather!
I hate being behind, too. Just catch up on the newer stuff and don't feel guilty - we all get there sometimes :)

Feel free to skip catching with Team BHI. My blog is like one of those sitcoms where you can pick up anytime without really missing anything important. Yadda, yadda, it was really cold. Welcome back. Cheers!

The least offensive thing about Megan Fox is her hammer thumb, if you ask me. :o)

Nice guest post! I agree you have to enjoy your run, not feel pressured and uncomfortable about it. I have been running MUCH shorter distances lately than I have in the past and primarily all treadmill... I used to force myself to run in the cold and I would be miserable about it. I thought "I had" to get those miles in. Finally I realized how unhappy I am freezing my ass off running. It just isn't for me and it doesn't make me less of a runner than those that enjoy braving the cold. I have come to terms with it. When we get temps over 40-45 degrees, I am out there with a smile and looking forward to it.

Oh and BTW- I can't wait to tell my husband about Meghan Fox's thumbs! hahah..that will gross him out for sure.

When I get behind on blog reading, I always just start with the most recent til I catch up.

Megan Fox has thumbs? Oh.... ;-)

You are having the BEST weather!

When I get behind I know that I miss some blogs. I always feel so bad. I don't know why because I know that all "my" followers do not always read every post I put up.

I read that about her thumbs. Glad to know there is something about her that isn't perfect. She's normal like the rest of us.

I wouldn't be surprised about the thumb stand in. I remember Megan's thumbs in Transformers and they were a bit scary!

It's God's way of equaling things out - not all of her can be so Foxy. :)

Amen on moving the Superbowl to Saturday. This makes so much sense that it'll never happen.

I'm sure the N(o) F(un) L(eague) had something to do with the fact that the Who didn't bust up any instruments. You are so right that it would have been nice to see Pete wail on an amp with his guitar.
