Bobrunning, Not Bobsledding

Trust me, Bobrunning is far more interesting to talk about. I'm sorry Winter Olympics, but Bobsledding pretty much sucks to watch. I will also add to that list: luge, cross country skiing, and curling.

So, on to the Bobrunning:

This morning, Norah and I went for a 3 miler. Well, I ran; she rode. Is it wrong to envy her?

By now, I'm definitely gettin' the hang of running with the BOB. It really doesn't need much pushing, so I generally run with just one hand steering it and allow the other to swing wildly at my side. That seems to make it a little easier. I know some people do this and trade back and forth with which arm is steering, but because I'm a rightie, it just feels easiest and most natural to always use my right arm to steer and to allow the left one its own free reign. Plus, it's kind of a hassle switching back and forth because you have to switch the safety strap, and that's just work.

Anyhoo, that's about all I have to report on the running front today. In other news, I am again woefully behind on reading blogs. I feel that for the past 3 weeks or so, I have been so busy with work, moming, wife-ing, and running that I have barely kept up with it all, so naturally, blogging has fallen by the wayside. I apologize. There is a light at the end of the tunnel though: I have a week and half until spring break! And then after that, "just" 7 weeks until summer! So, that means I'll get around to catching up with everyone sometime in May.

ok...secret...I don't think I'll have kids...but I secretly want to be that awesome mom who is running and pushing her BOB. I love that you are sharing your passion, getting her outdoors and teaching her about making time for things you love

Are there any judges or timing involved in Bobrunning! Personally i hate events with judges so hopefully this will be an event that involves a clock...i have a feeling it will.

I think bobsledding would be fun to do, but to watch, not so much.

Jason is obsessed with watching curling. I don't get it!

Petition the Olympics committee and make it an official sport!

I definitely find it easier to run with one hand pushing the stroller and one swinging free. But I tend to switch. Nice job getting out there!

I envy you your spring break!

Glad to hear that you're getting the hang of the jogging stroller. But yes, Norah definitely has the sweet end of this deal!

We can't be friends anymore. I love curling.

As for bobsledding. The announcer could not have called them "athletes" any more if he tried. The "push athlete"? Give me a break, Nell Carter!

Bobrunning question... So if you have twins or just two kids, do you get a time discount if you are running with two kids w/ the BOB that holds two children? Just curious ;)

Good to know about the baby runner, not that I am having kids anytime soon, but that I have an honest opinion of it is great! Thanks a bunch!

Hey man, curling rocks. Get it? Anyway, I'm getting all caught up on reading blogs too and I feel like all I've been doing is commenting to you all morning! Sorry for the overload!

Glad you got a handle on the BOB! I always thought that would be pretty hard to do.
Curling is kind of cool though.. haha

I'm glad to hear Bobrunning is going well. I am so excited to have ours, but wondered how hard it would be to adjust to not being able to swing both arms like you normally do when running.

BOBRUNNING? Bwahahahahahaha...I LOVE it!

I never got the hang of the BOB. I was always afraid it'd get away from me (maybe it's the hills around here).

I hear you on the getting behind on the blogging thing. When is spring break?

I find curling strangely addictive, but I have no real idea why.

Glad to hear the Bob is working well for you.

I have been pushing a jogger or double jogger the past four years and still haven't got it mastered. You are superwoman! And I am totally jealous of my girls kickin' it in the stroller, especially when they fall asleep!
