Home Sweet Home

We arrived home last night at 1 am, unloaded the car, and promptly fell into the glorious comfort of our own bed. Seriously, nothing is better than being away and then returning home to your own bed; there is no greater comfort than your own pillows, sheets, and precious mattress. And ultimately, it's just so nice to be home.

The drive back was long and tedious and took us longer than the drive up (we hit some bad weather, some traffic jams, and had a narrow miss in a car accident), so we were incredibly grateful to get home last night and get out of the car. Today, we have a ton to do: unpacking, laundry, grocery shopping, sorting through 2 weeks of mail, etc, etc, but the sun is shining, it's 70 degrees, the sky is blue and the grass is green, so I'm okay. Ahhh, it's good to be back in FL!

I am happy to hear you guys made it home safe and sound. Getting back into your own bed is such a good feeling... especially when you have been away for so long and living out of suitcases!

Glad you made it home safely.

I understand what you mean about how nice it is to be back in you own bed. The first night home after a trip is always like that for me. :-)

Welcome home! I was away from my glorious bed for 2 nights, and I almost went to bed at 8:30 because I couldn't wait to crawl under the comforter.

Welcome home! I am sure you can't wait to get settled and enjoy some home alone time.

You do have a lot of mail to sort through. What started out as one pile ended up in three or more. I hope you can retrieve the package from UPS. They left several notices :(

Heck, at that time of night you don't even need to drink yourself to sleep. But I would have anyway. Cheers!

Glad you are enjoying being home! I am having the opposite feeling, I am in North Carolina for 5 days, and I don't want to come home, I'm dreading it for some reason. But, it is always good to get back to your own home, own bed, back to the routine, etc., I need to remember that!

Welcome home! I love my own bed after being away for a few days/nights. I'm sorry to hit some bad weather, but I'm glad you made it home. Enjoy your day at home- even if you'll be unpacking and doing laundry.
