One part of getting ready in the morning, is that Norah and I both have to get pretty. So, when I'm getting ready for work, she always pulls out her make up and accessories, and while I'm applying my own make up, she applies what she feels is necessary for her own beautification.
Moments like this, where she's "painting" her toenails (that's not real nail polish, although, you'd be suprised how adept she is with real nail polish!), make me feel as though I'm peering into a small window of the future. She may only be 2 and 1/2 now, but can't you somehow see her at 16 doing the same thing? I can. This morning, she also (briefly) let me put her hair into a pony tail. It didn't last, but I enjoyed it while it did.
And, what outfit is complete without a purple tu-tu and a princess necklace? None that I know of!

How sweet! When can I come play Barbies?
I love and envy this! My daughter rarely let me help her be girly. Now she nearly lives in sweats. booooo
She is so cute, Jess! Very talented to be able to put on that nail polish while chillin on the counter! Love the tutu.
She is SUCH A LITTLE DOLL!
Ha ha... that's some skill for a 2.5 year old!
What a doll! I can't believe how big she is getting.
Fun!
I want a girl!! (Not badly enough to go through pregnancy, PPD, and an infant again, but man, she's adorable!)
Adorable! Love the ponytail too.
Adorable, adorable, adorable.
haha she is absolutely adorable! I love the tutu!
she is such a cutie pie! I don't know how her daddy can stand it!
Damn, your blog is awesome, it will be sorely missed. All the really good ones are fading away... Any chance you'd reconsider, maybe a monthly post?
What a lovely kid, she so cute and so talented.
