The Running
Since I last posted, I have logged 3 more runs, each 2 milers. The most recent was last night, and after I finished, I decided that it felt pretty good, so I think for my next run (either tonight or sometime tomorrow), I'll attempt a 3 miler. I know. Hold onto your pants!
The Non-Running
Norah has had a renewed interest in the potty lately. It's not like she's going all the time, but she's going pee a couple times a day on there. And last week, during her nap, she kept calling to me, but I ignored her (because sometimes she does this as a delay tactic and if I ignore her, she just goes to sleep). Mistake. She'd had to pee, and she'd taken off her diaper and peed on her pillow.
So...we decided that if we're doing the potty thing, perhaps we should make our lives even harder, and go ahead and convert her crib into a toddler bed so she can get out and pee if she needs to. You know, to avoid more Pee Pillows.
The first day and night, she did great staying in her bed during nap and bedtime, but then I think she fully figured out that she could get in and out, and since then, well...Let's just say that at 5:30 this morning (after I'd just gone back to bed after a 5:00 am Caleb feeding), I heard from the hallway: "Hi Mama!"So, yeah, she's learning.
As for Caleb, he's doing his part to keep me on my toes by being a fussy-fusserson today. He has his days like this, and on the whole, I think he's definitely a much fussier baby than Norah was, but then some days he's perfectly content, so I can't discern a pattern. At least he has good taste in clothes.
Thankfully, my SIL is visiting this week, and it really is invaluable having another pair of hands around. Amazing how much help one more person is!

Maybe put a potty in her room and close the door? Ha ha!
You sure have your hands full over there!
Good luck with the 3 miler.
Wait until both of them are walking........ Run. LOL
Yep, it takes a bit of training to get them to stay in their big beds, but you have to admit, the "hallway hi mommy" is pretty cute!
Love the toddler bed - so cute! And pee pillow - hilarious! That's great that Norah is taking an active interest in potty training though. :)
That beats the 2am calls we get from Miller because he has to potty. He has a big boy bed and won't get up in the middle of the night. Mornings...sometimes he gets right up and does his thing. That is the nice part. Before you know it, she will be diaper free and you will only have Caleb to tend to.
potty training is hard work. you have to be ready at all times to get them to the potty. when my kids were little i would move the potty all around the house depending on where they were so that it was easily accessible. :-)
Good luck with the new bed. We're about to make the switch too so I hope you have a good time.
congrats on getting back out there!
Great work on the running - it takes a while to get used to it again w/o the soreness. At least I found that to be the case.
As usual, cute clothes on those kiddos!
Pee Pillow! I am laughing out loud at this :)
I am not looking forward to potty training. Glad I've got a while for that!
Good luck on the 3 miler!
Glad to see that your return to running is progressing nicely! my my my ain't Norah turning into quite the little lady!
sweet pics! Oh my goodness, we're potty training with my youngest boy and he went potty for the first time TODAY :) Yay! Guess we'll do the toddler bed transition AFTER we get through pottying?! Good tip!!!
Awe...Caleb is so cute! No two babies are the same, Eli was my fussy one and Bo is very content 90% of the time.
Norah & the bed thing is too funny, we are going through that stage with Eli too, he is doing great so far but nap time is not working AT ALL. I find him in there playing all the time...
