Anyhoo, yesterday as I was running my 3 miler, I was approached by 2 Jehovah's Witnesses on bikes, and they tried to give me a pamphlet and talk to me.
While I was running!
I politely told them "No, thanks." But that's the weirdest experience I've ever had with people who are trying to sell religion. Maybe "sell" isn't the right word, but you know what I mean, right?

My politeness would have gone out the door if I was running and they approached me. Maybe you need to carry a stick or a large pebble next time. No offense to any religion but "peddling" it while "peddling," c'mon!
I think the battle with your computer is just about over and your computer might win. Might be time to bite the bullet and get a new one (I know it's been your secret wish). At least you have your new phone-which by the way seems to post very well.
Ha! Have you heard of the book "The Non-Runner's Guide to Running a Marathon"? She has a few paragraphs about how the Jehovah's Witnesses would always approach her while she was running. I think it is weird to sell religion (that's DEFINITELY what it is) especially to someone who is RUNNING!!!
Once when I was running someone asked me if a had a cigarette...yes, because I always make sure to keep some extra butts in my fuel belt...
Definitely weird. Sorry bout' the computer.
Wow! That is crazy. I have been asked for loose change but I have never been approached by the Jehovah's. That is pretty funny though...
That is weird.
Hope your computer gets well soon!
boo on the sick computer.
The mormon thing while running is so weird! I have had people try to force bibles on me while running, but it's not like I'm going to read it over the next 5 miles or anything...
Can I get a witness?
Next time tell them they can witness all they want as long as they are "running" (not riding) alongside you at your pace...
LOL! I used to HIDE from them every Sunday in my house when I lived in Miami. I would literally duck down under the windows until they left. No matter how many times you told them you weren't interested they would still come back.
Towards the end of our five years there, I didn't even try to hide anymore. Then would ring the bell and I would stand in the window so they could see me and not answer the door. I just pretended I couldn't hear it.
Hope your computer heals up soon.
Funny thing is, that happened to me a couple summers ago when I was out running. They didn't seem to care, either. weird.
Seriously I don't think I would have been able to be that polite.
Sorry to hear about the computer. I hope it "feels better" soon.
That's bizarre! I can't believe they bothered you while you were running. How rude!
Hope the computer thing gets straightened out.
I've never had anyone try to sell me something while running, but I'm not sure what I'd do. So odd.
Ohhh no about the comp! I hope this does not interfere too much with your blogging :P
Yeah about the JW. We always get them around these parts but thankfully I've never had them come up to me while running LOL
That actually would have pissed me off. I don't think people have a right to 'sell' their religious beliefs no matter what!
I hope your computer gets well soon.
WOW that is so weird... really WHILE running? no thanks.
hope the computer is better soon!
Computers are the devil...mine has been a pisser every day too...grrrr.
You got to give it to the JW's they are leaving no stone unturned!
Next time, just tell them you're a devil worshipper. They'll leave you alone then. A friend told me about how her brother-in-law (a pastor) told the JWs he was a devil worshipper. They don't come to his house anymore. Actually, they walk around his house. That reminds me, I haven't seen them around these parts in years. But then again, I never answer the door.
AHAHA, are you serious?! Too weird. Could they not see that you were R-U-N-N-I-N-G.
Hope the computer gets better.
I'm shocked that they would approach you while running - that's insane and rude
Totally know what you mean.
How annoying! To me that is really rude. I feel like if you want that information, you should seek it out...not have people on bikes chase you down while running.
ROFL... That IS a good one!
When I was home last weekend, two knocked on my parents door, but I've never heard of them chasing people down on bikes LOL!
LOL - were they the ones with white shirts and black ties? I love those guys! They always ride around my neighborhood w/ nametags on!
I think that means I need a witness.
