11 Miles and Some Change

I kicked off my 2010 mileage by running a planned 11 miler this morning, except my plan wasn't planned out as perfectly as I thought, and my course was slightly longer than 11 miles, so my run ended up being 11.41 miles. That's okay. A little extra never hurt me. Plus, I finished the run in 1:57:53 with an average pace of 10:20/mile, which I was pretty pleased with because this puts me right on track for a 2:15 finish time for Miami at the end of the month.

Again, I was lucky to wake up this morning to some cool air, and despite the fact that I didn't get started on my run until 10:30 am, I still got to enjoy perfect running temps. I love "winter" running FL: Sunny, clear skies with a slight breeze and temps in the low 60s. Wish it could be like this year round!

Sooooo jealous!! Zach and I are sitting here working on our training plan for our 1/2 in April (we are total rookies and have pretty much no idea what we are doing, haha!), and crying because we are trying to figure out what to do for our long runs. Thankfully next Saturday we have a *high* of 31. Sigh. Here I come, Mr. Treadmill....

Yeah, just a tad jealous of your "winter" running. It's not too bad here, but not as nice as your weather that's for sure!

Nice run! That's a great pace for that distance!

I have some blogs on my blog list that are private yet the updates show up. I think it has more to do with having the correct "site feed" listed under options. Let me know if you can't see my updates and I'll try to fix it.

Isn't the weather freaking awesome right now?! Nice job on the run. I may have to join you on a weekend run one of these weekends. I need to get some long ones in and I think a buddy would help.

NIce job on the run, but I am sooo jealous. It was high 20s with 25+ mph sustained winds today. I ran on the treadmill...

That's awesome. Sounds like you will definitely meet your goal at your race. I'm also shooting for a 2:15 finish for my March half.

Again, I ask myself, what the heck am I doing living in the Midwest? Our long run had to be cancelled to to freezing temps and you are out there putting in an extra mile just for fun :)
