That's right, this is post #1500.

Knowing that this number was approaching, I was wracking my brain trying to come up with some kind of special way to celebrate the number, but really, I'll be honest: I feel as though I've done it all before. So, post #1500, you are duly noted, but sorry, no special look back at favorite posts, no pictorial of the past years, no giveaway offers to my loyal readers. Today, you're just one of 1,449 other posts in which I have yammered on about this and that.

So, here's the "this and that":

I didn't run this morning for two reasons: One, I felt I needed one more day's worth of recovery after being sick before expending the energy on running. Seriously, that was one nasty sickness I had, and it lasted a full 48 hours, so I think a full 48 hour recovery is wise. My second reason for not running this morning was that I guessed that the time change was gonna mess with Norah's sleep schedule and I was right. She was up at 6 am instead of 7. Getting her sleep re-aligned with the time change is gonna be a bitch this week. Any tips from other parents?

And, because I know you love some good Norah pics, here she is in her Godzilla onesie that Jerry bought her when she was a mere fetus: And, I think it inspired her to "Rahhhr" like Godzilla too, so here she is doing her best Godzilla impression:
Be afraid, tiny people. Be afraid.

Congrats on the post milestone, but more so for the little godzilla cutie you produced. God she's adorable! :)

Hope you're feeling better! Don't stress about the run, it will be waiting for you when you're ready!

Norah really looks scary doing her Godzilla imatation! Rylee's first thing was growling like a bear. Do we need to be afraid of these girls we are raising???

Seriously, she looks darling, Roaring or not. And might I say the quilt looks purdy too if I do say so myself. Glad you are using it.

Happy 1500 - I guess...

Can you calculate how many beers you could have enjoyed during the time it took you to compose 1500 posts?

Good idea giving yourself the time that you need to recover. That was some sickness.

Great pics of Norah - that onesie is awesome!

oh that is too cute!!!!! my youngest kept rawr-ing all through halloween night.

she also would follow it (after we acted scared) with the classic 30-rock reference "where is my sandwich? which was also hilarious.

1500 is a lot of writing. very impressive, Jess.

I can't begin to tell you how much I LOVE reading your blog. You have a beautiful family and your sense of humor is out of this world. It's obvious you are a true and gifted writer. Thanks for always making my day EVERYDAY!!!

The photo of her 'roar' is going to make me smile all day. Perfect.

Congrats on the 1500, which is huge. I wonder how many miles you've run over that time!!

I agree - that roar photo will keep me laughing all day. She's so cute. As for the sleep schedule - with Marcus we simply broke his usual 3hr morning stretch, into two 2hr intervals and he was back on track by lunch time. Why don't you try stretching her by 15 mins each nap and then hopefully she'll be caught up by tonight?

Glad to hear you are taking 48 hours to get over that nasty 48 flu bug you had... I hope to get over mine fast.

My hip hurts on the outside part. Any suggestions? Luckily, it's been feeling good the past couple of days.

Nick is all screwed up w/ the schedule too. No tips for that one! I think it will just fall back into place.

#1500 - whoo hoo!

Those pics are adorable too.

We are definitely screwed up with the schedule - and I'm worried part of it is sun related. It was definitely much brighter today at 6AM, and Brooke was up as soon as the sun was :(

Adorable that's what she is!

Congrats on the blogging milestone! Norah is soo cute! If I were a tiny person, I'd be running for my life!! The sleep issue, I just try and keep the house lit brightly at night so bed time is the same and keep the bedroom dark so the early morning sun doesn't peak in. Norah will self adjust in no time.

Very cute little one you have! Where did your friend find that onesie? I'm going to be having a lil zilla of my own soon and I must have one!
