Afterward, I got home and guess what came in the mail today? My RW running log! Sure, it's about 6 weeks late, but I'm just so happy it's here! So happy that I had to bite it a little with my newly cleaned teeth.
So, aside from transferring the January digits into the running log, I had to get started on my February stats, and I decided, "Hey, new month, new shoes!" That's right, I decided to break out the new running shoes that I got for Christmas. I had been saving them because I'd been putting on such light mileage in January I figured I could get some additional miles out of the old pair; plus, this way it's like Christmas in February!
Purty, aren't they? Those laces are nearly as white as my freshly cleaned teeth! I think I shall dub them "Yellow Lightning" (the shoes, not my teeth).So, Yellow Lightning, Jerry (and his unnamed shoes), and I went for a 3 miler (28:50). The run felt good, especially because the weather remains cool here -- in fact, it's supposed to get really cold here this week, like maybe down to 30 degrees! Yikes. We may as well be living in the frozen northland for such frigid weather. Thankfully, it wasn't that cold today (still in the low 70s), but it was cool enough to make the running feel a little cooler and easier.
