3 Miler Redux

Knowing that I'd have a similar schedule today as I did yesterday, I just left my stinky running clothes in my office, and this afternoon, I donned my smelly running attire for a repeat of yesterday's 3 mile running break.  Today, I also had the added bonus of overcast skies and slightly cooler temps, so it was an even more pleasant experience!

I did feel a bit like a stink-machine having not taken home or washed my running clothes, but I figured I was just gonna re-sweatify them, so what's the point?  Usually, I never double-wear running clothes because I typically soak them in sweat so the idea of re-using before washing is often times rather grotesque.

But what about you?  Will you use them twice before washing?  Is it conditional -- maybe contingent upon sweat-soakage and stinkage?

  2. I am the queen of re-wearing running clothes. With my a.m./p.m. run schedule most of the year, I just don't like doing laundry THAT much. ;-)

Two times during the winter only. All other times the humidity puts the stank on.

  5. I can never rewear a shirt...too sweaty, even if I just do 1 mile! Shorts I can wear all week if I want to, but normally never more than 3 days! Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to get your run in!

  6. I never do this unless I really don't feel like I've sweated.

  7. I just bring them with me to the shower and rinse them out. That's usually enough to get the stink out and then I throw them in the wash every week or two.

  9. Totally depends on how sweaty I was and how likely I'll be near anyone who can smell me LOL.

I guess I am really gross, I wear mine for a week at a time!

  11. If the shirt is dry and not stiff...it's ok for a second shot. The icky part is the sports bra and who wants to have a new bra for every day of the week always clean?

Side comment: it's probably ok since you are running by yourself and not in a gym next to someone. I just hope you rinse off before you put your street clothes back on :)

  13. I have been known to air dry and re-wear my workout clothes! Just typing it makes me think how gross this is but I do way too much dam laundry as it is!

  14. If the workout clothes are not soaked in sweat I will reuse them before washing. My winter running clothes tend to be used twice before washing. In the summer they go straight into the laundry after each run. Ewww!!
