- Sticky, icky humid.
- I narrowly missed stepping on a frog. Or, maybe it was a toad. I don't know how to tell the difference.
- I ran straight through a spider-web and picked its tendrils from my skin and hair the entire run.
- And, a bug of considerable size and girth thwaped me in the mouth.
Reminds me of running in the late afternoon... I hate running into swarms of gnats (which are everywhere during that time).
ReplyDeleteI love early morning running but forget the frog/toad, spider web and bug in mouth. Yech!
ReplyDeleteStill no running in my life - what I wouldn't give for the icky, the frog and the spider web. Great job!
ReplyDeleteYuck on all of the bugs! Ewww!
ReplyDeleteI don't know why, but I am completely terrified of stepping on toads. Really freaks me out. Nice job getting up early and getting the run done!
ReplyDeleteThe old spider web trick. That's the one bad thing about running in the dark. Stupid spiders.
ReplyDeletewhich is right now enough for me :)
ReplyDeleteMiz.
Eww! Spiderwebs gross me out, so that would have totally ruined my run.
ReplyDeletelet me get this straight... you almost quashed a toad then you caught an insect in your mouth? :-)
ReplyDeleteThsi time of year I can't escape the bugs outside no matter what time I run. Barf! Very little worse than a bug hitting the back of your throat...oh yeah there is, the almost vomiting that follows! yuck!
ReplyDeleteHATE running through spider webs!
ReplyDeleteAgreed. Morning runs runs don't make me a happy, jolly fool. It just pisses me off. And when you do it barefoot, more things stick to your feet because of the dew. I hate helicopter seeds with a passion. Cheers!
ReplyDeletehahahahaha, oh man yes. I can't take all that crap before coffee. Early morning running is a horrible concept.
ReplyDeleteyuck, as for here, our mornings have been gorgeous lately and then hot later in the day, so that is benefit lately!
ReplyDeleteI think the only way to tell toad vs frog is when you kiss a frog, it turns into a prince. So, get kissin!
