Norah's Nap

After a busy day -- story time at Barnes and Noble, a trip to the baby store, and lunch out -- we thought we'd have no trouble getting Norah to take a nap this afternoon. We thought wrong. Twice, I tried laying her down for a nap, but each time I'd go in and check on her, she was just playing in her crib:
(Her eyes are all squinty because of the camera's flash -- I swear I didn't give her a doobie before nap time.) So, after nap attempt #2, I decided to strap her into the Bob and take her for a run. In mile 1, she was still wide awake and playing with her toys, but by the end of mile 2...
...voila! She was down for the count. And, once we got home, she continued snoozin' -- bonus! Plus, the run was an un-planned 3 miler for me, so it added a few extra miles to my week -- double bonus!!

I'm glad you got in a bonus run and a longer nap for Norah once she did fall asleep!

  5. Miller would do that to. Sometimes babies like their alone time in their cribs. Othertimes....hells no.

  6. The joys of the jogging stroller; getting outside, not having to carry your own water and napping babies! Priceless!

  7. I always crack up when I find Eli that way in his crib, just partying like a rockstar, no nappin' going on!

  14. Hey Jess! quick question...do you keep front wheel fixed on the BOB when you run? if so..how do you deal with curvy roads etc?

  15. I think you've found the solution for what puts Norah to sleep. You'll just need to take her on a quick run every time you want her to nap.

  18. When I was young, my parents would put me in the back of a car and go for a drive. The hum of the engine would put me to sleep every time! Maybe that is why I get tired 2-3 hours into a road trip for no reason, even if I slept the night before. :) Happy Belated Birthday by the way!
