Super Bowl Sunday

Bullet Point Style:
  • 4 years ago, on Super Bowl Sunday, I was doing keg stands...
  • ...tonight...I "splurged" and had TWO beers.
  • We stayed home and made flatbread pizza.
  • Delicious.
  • My fav Super Bowl commercial was the Motorola commercial with Megan Fox, and that's not because I'm biased (Jerry works for Moto); I seriously think it was the best one. Tied for second place: The Bud Light "Lost" commercial and the Monster.com Casual Friday commercial.
  • Thought "The Who" did a decent halftime show. I liked "Baba O'Reilly" and "Don't Get Fooled Again" -- however, I didn't need to see Pete Townsend's flabby middle every time he windmilled.
  • Oh, and I was disappointed that Townsend didn't smash a guitar.
  • Jerry said he's probably too old to do that; I say you're never too old to smash a guitar.
  • I can't believe the Colts lost.
  • Of course, it makes me feel a teensy bit better that MN lost to the Saints two weeks ago. At least we lost to the Super Bowl champs, I suppose.
  • Time for bed now.
  • Monday after Super Bowl should SO be a holiday. That, or the game needs to be moved to a Saturday night game.

  1. Way to party hard LOL.

And, if you lived up here, Monday would be a holiday. Guess Mother Nature is a fan of the Superbowl and wanted everyone to take the day off. Why else would she drop 20+ inches of snow on the region?

  3. I wanted the Colts to win as well. I am a huge Austin Collie fan. He caught some good passes and did well as a rookie. I hope that Brett Favre stays in the NFL next year. Good luck running. Train hard and you will realize your dreams !

My wife is so with you on Pete's flab. It was the only time during the entire telecast she got worked up.

  5. I missed most of the commercials because I was busy cooking/cleaning up the kitchen/putting Sophie to bed. And I still ended up staying up way too late . . . it should be a holiday today.

  6. How things change in 4 years....

I didn't even watch the Superbowl. Shame, I know. And my 'team' (randomly selected in a pool) WON!

  8. I've always been to a superbowl party, and this year I was finally home with just my fiance. My plan was to sleep while he watched the game, but of course it was the other way around. He passed out at the beginning of the fourth quarter and I ended up getting into the game, waking him whenever there was a big play. Figures.

  9. hahaha...that is exactly how I was 4 years ago to, except I was running the flip cup table like a champ. My how times have changed, 3 beers for me last night! And pumping & dumping during the half time show. I was quite the "prize mommy" last night.

  10. Agree with most of your bullet points... except on the commercials.. the Doritos with the dog collar and the Betty White commercial were my two favorites. Only had one slice of pizza and I portioned a small bit of chips and dip rather than standing next to the food table all night. Also had two Sweetwaters... mmm. What time zone were you in ;) ? I think I got home @ 10:00pm from the Superbowl party. Just kidding :) Waking up for my run this morning was no fun!

I didn't even have a beer during the Superbowl yesterday- I just looked at it in the fridge and opted for an iced tea instead. Weird, I know. Have a good week!

  18. Ha. I "splurged" on a Coke Zero during the game. Woo-hoo!

I liked the Betty White/Snickers commercial. Any time Rose Nylund get tackled in the mud is hilarious.

  19. I liked the Motorola commercial too, even if they did lay me off years ago. My face was the Doritos commercial with the shock collar

Thought the who were decent but they seemed out of breath. Guess they're getting kinda old.
