Tonight is my first night of my summer class, so knowing that I wouldn't be able to run this evening, I got up a little early this morning in order to fit my run in before it got too hot out. I got up at 6:45 and was out the door for the run at 7:15, and while the morning was certainly cooler, it was still a balmy 80 degrees with thick humidity.

I ran my standard 3 miles, and the run felt good, and it definitely is nice to get it done first thing in the morning, but I got back and was simply soaked in sweat. Oh well, I'd best get used to it because it's only May.
Amen! You're tough out in that humidity!
ReplyDeleteThe humidity makes such a difference! I do love a good sweaty run though:)
ReplyDelete80 degrees at 7am... I'm sweating just thinking about that! Way to get it done!
ReplyDeletegeez that seems hot. at least you could say you got a run in.
ReplyDeleteAhhhhh yes this time of year when it's glorious for us Northerners and Hell for you Southerners.
ReplyDeletewow--so hot/humid already. good job getting up early--that always deserves a reward.
ReplyDeleteNice attempt at beating the heat! It isn't that warm here yet, but the humidity left behind from the rain is awful today.
ReplyDeleteI love sweaty runs!! Way to go!
ReplyDeleteLOL! I feel the same way.
ReplyDeleteIt's been much too hot lately in South Florida!
Yeah, this hot and humid weather is no fun to run in. I just hate when sweat messes with my headphones and then I lose my tunes. I can't bear to hear myself panting out there.
ReplyDeleteYou are such a trooper for getting out there in that heat, good job!
ReplyDeleteoh that's HAWT :-)
ReplyDeleteWay to go on your morning run :-). I keep saying I'm going to beat the heat and head out that early.... keep saying it all the way to 3 p.m. when no sane person would really be running and I do it anyways out of a feeling of obligation.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to Texas, right ;-).
Great job chica!
Sounds like Nebraska in August. I can't imagine it being like that in the middle of May!
ReplyDeleteKeep going mama!
ReplyDeleteBTW, good job on the strength training.
Way to get out there. Hope your class went well.
ReplyDeleteHa, now I'm glad to be in the High-five state.
ReplyDeleteI was up at 5:30 and out by 5:50 am!!! So glad it's not humid here, like it is there.
ReplyDeleteBut it's such a relief to have workout done!
It is a blessing that I don't live South where you are. Guess what? This morning was SO GLORIOUS!!! It was cool 60 degrees with very little humidity here. It just perfect!
ReplyDeleteGood job getting out there in that humidity. So not looking forward to summer running!
ReplyDeleteGah. I despise that kind of heat! It makes me faint just thinking about it. You are tough cookie.
ReplyDeleteI was in Miami last weekend for a hot minute and I forgot how hard it is to get 6 miles out in the heat. Jesus that was hard!
