I'm from Minnesota and I actually have a friend who lives in Northfield! What a cute, little town! Drive safely the road are really bad today (Monday), icy and windy and a bunch of highways are closed but hope to be opening shortly! Happy traveling to the arctic!
When I saw the title of your post I thought you were going to be discussing the deplorable conditions of the rest rooms. That's what I remember most about my trip North last summer - though I was pregnant and peeing all the time so I can see why that was my focus!
