The fall back time change last night was nice because of the extra hour of sleep, but aside from that, it just meant that there was more light at 6 am this morning for my 10 miler with Wendy, so by the time we finished (just before 8 am), the sun was high in the morning sky and it was warm.
But, our 10 miler this morning was much better than last week's, when we were both feeling out of it, and we finished the run this morning in 1:43:59 (which, if I subtract the 2:30 bathroom break, puts us at about 1:41 for actual time running), so we maintained a 10:24/mile pace. Which is especially good considering we somehow had a headwind on both the route going out and returning (not sure how that worked, but I swear it was true).
As for the rest of the day, I think I'm mostly gonna just chill around the house. I have some small tasks I'd like to get done, but other than that I hope to enjoy a pretty lazy Sunday.
Hey Jess, it's Randy, from PapaBear's Marathon Maniac Training...my blog quit allowing me access so I've started a new one...find me at:

Nice job on the run. Enjoy a nice relaxing Sunday. So is Jerry planning on wearing his costume again???
ReplyDeleteGood job on the run! I was supposed to do decent run this morning too, but those plans were scrapped when my little one decided to wake up at 4:30am for the day!
ReplyDeleteLoved the Halloween costumes too!
nothing like an early long run to have a guilt-free lazy day. love it
ReplyDeleteKeg stands and a 10 miler in the same weekend? wow! That is seriously impressive. Great pace. Enjoy your relaxing Sunday.

ReplyDeleteYour runs with Wendy sound great. Oh, and your halloween costume was awesome!
ReplyDeleteHaha..I had the same problem today..totally cool when I started out and then got hot. :( At least it isn't as dark though, huh? Hope you had a nice lazy day....though don't know if any day where you run 10 miles is lazy!
ReplyDeleteYou are my hero, cuz I don't think I could do keg stands and run 10 miles two days later. You ARE a goddess (Princess Leah would be proud!)
ReplyDeleteI think the time change is so bizarre. I can't wait until they do away with it. However, it is nice to have some sunny morning runs! I'm pumped about that, too!
ReplyDeleteEven though it was only an hour, I felt so much more rested this morning when I woke! It was glorious!
ReplyDeleteBTW, I gave you an "award" on my post today. Check it out.
Great job on the run. Having a running buddy makes a big difference.

I dont really get to pick what time I get up anymore, Brooke does that for me. But I was pretty thrilled on Sunday when she didnt get up until 8AM...until my hubby notified me that it was actually 7AM :(
ReplyDeleteNo subtraction allowed! Natural bodily function - bathroom breaks are part of the run. I am wathcing you young lady and my watch is running.

I'm sure some of the wind was caused by that frantic pace :-) Thanks so much for your support during this Iron journey, Jess!! You rock!!
