The 2 girls I ran with in training for the half, are much faster than me (they came in 14 min faster than me in the half), and I'm soooo apprehensive about training with them again due to me getting frustrated the way you explained. Plus, I don't want them to slow down because of me.

I got dropped on a run during training, and the couple that was running with me, I could tell felt they were slowing down too much. So, I told them to go on - "I know the way", when In fact I didn't. Luckily it was a runner's neighborhood, and I just guessed my way back. Sucks big time, and NOT good to hold any confidence...

Sounds like you may need to start wearing your pesky garmin, just to keep track of your mileage if that happens again.

I really understand where you are coming from!!! glad you got your 8.5 in anyway!Mendyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00968363500551483010noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13849002.post-89465085130337646432007-07-14T20:37:00.000-05:002007-07-14T20:37:00.000-05:00Well at least you got your miles in. The one I ran with in Chicago was huge, cost money and therefore was very structured. There were pace groups ranging from 7min/mile all the way up to 12, so nobody ran alone. Not only that, but like MPA said, what about safety? That's poo especially since you didn't know you're way around. Sure some peeps are faster than others but what about common courtesy? No one drops back to make sure everyone is OK?!?

I think you have the right attitude though.
