So Far

Our new life with Norah is an exhausting combination of love, joy, unbelievable happiness, stress, anxiety, frustration, tears, and sleep deprivation; mixed with all of that is the soreness and residual pain of labor and delivery, so in short: every fiber of my being is spent.

Therefore, you'll have to excuse my infrequent posts and my almost total absence from commenting on your blogs (I sat down yesterday evening to read some and got through about 5 before being interrupted). I will get back to them, so don't feel too abandoned; I'm just busy with some other very important stuff.

    1) Internet surfing
    2) Running
    3) Eating

  9. Hang in there! It will get easier - before long you'll have mastered the skill of typing one handed while nursing LOL.

And just have Jerry upload a picture a day and we'll all come over hear and coo about how gorgeous Norah is.

  24. AWw! the first few days, weeks, and months are such a whirlwind. Try to take it all in and remember in a few months it will be a distant memory. Nick is sooo big and it was only 6 months ago. Enjoy holding her while she's so tiny and will keep her head on your shoulder!

  25. Every telling me its rough for 3 months. I couldnt imagine 3 whole months of the newborn-ness ... but it flew by. And it was pretty much her 3-month birthday when suddenly the smile came out and life became easier. not easy ... but easier :)

  26. Welcome to the wonderful crazy world of parenting! Time is the one thing you won't ever have enough of again. Well, time and sleep.

  27. and you don't get any sleep for a few more weeks! sleep deprivation will drive you to the edge. i can totally understand why that's used as a torture method.

be confident that in about 6 weeks things will settle down enough for you to get a few hours of uninterrupted jess time. i promise it will happen again.
