Note To Self

Dear Jess:

Just because your household is out of sandwich bags, doesn't mean that it was a smart idea to throw your chips into the same tupperware as your sandwich. What you may have learned in 3rd grade science is now coming back into sharper focus now that you are eating soggy chips, right? Clearly, the chips absorbed the moisture from the sandwich since they were locked together into an air-tight container, and now the chips are inedible by self's standards.

Good job loser. Now you have to eat your sandwich sans chips. And everyone knows that's the crappiest way to eat a sandwich.

Maybe next time you'll remember to buy more sandwich bags in order to avoid errors of this nature.
Yours,
Yourself

  1. That is a great science lesson for a Friday morning. But a bummer about the sandwich.

We actually got the tickets at face value. Even at face value ($50 ea) I am totally wincing. And don't think it didn't cross my mind to scalp them. :>P

  3. I don't have room in my brain any more for some of those early lessons. I mean, there as so many damn things to learn, inevitably one or two are going to escape and you have to re-learn them.

I'm sorry about your chips. Vendo-land close??

  4. Ah, just toss the chips on the sandwich, and munch away!

  5. I honestly didn't know that. But then I seldom eat chips. And if they are close to a sandwich, I put them IN the sandwich. Yum.

  6. I hope it was a peanut butter sandwich.

You might consider visiting my mother because after years on my own she was concerned I couldn't prepare my own lunch last week.

  7. Ugh, I hate when that happens...but on the same note, did you know that if you put a piece of bread in with cookies they will stay soft? Probably very common knowledge, but I like it :P

  8. When I write a note to myself, I like to add, "PS, you look hot today." That's the only thing missing from yours.

  11. I did the same thing with Wheat thins and carrots. It was so sad when lunchtime came and I had no Wheat thins to dip in my hummus.

  12. You could try wrapping the sandwich with aluminum foil first. It might work.

  14. EWWW nasty. Soggy chips are gross. BUT, those sandwiches with fries piled on top are actually quite good. So next time you have this dilemma, put fries in the same container - not chips :)
